We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional as Risk Manager and you will report to our Managing Director & Conducting Officer.
 

Key responsibilities:
 

  • Coordination and management of a team of risk officers and risk analyst employed into the delivery of the day to day risk management production providing support on key deliveries and deadlines;
  • Set-up, administration and maintenance of the risk management system to deliver the risk analysis production, risk monitoring reports, pre-transaction and post-acquisition investment restrictions, stress test analysis and annex IV exposures.
  • Set-up, administration and maintenance of the liquidity management system required to monitor the liquidity risks of the AIFs under management including regular stress test under normal and stressed market conditions;
  • Monitoring and reporting on the efficiency of the risk department according to the conducting officer guidelines, propose changes and operational developments to optimise processes and activities;
  • Ensure the delivery of complete and detailed risk analysis in relation to the AIF transactions allowing  the conducting officer to participated to the AIFM investment committee including support on AML themes, compliance and valuation topics.
  • Ensure the compliance of the risk management activities with the AIFM  risk management policy and procedure as well as with all the applicable laws and regulations proposed relevant change to the attention of the conducting officer;
  • Support the AIFM investment committee in the transaction AML/CFT due diligence process at transaction level as need it;
  • Ensure proper escalation and follow-up to the relevant AIFs governing body and to the conducting officer on the risk monitoring activities including and no limited to regulatory, legal, compliance and operational breaches;
  • Manage of new fund onboarding process for the risk and liquidity topics, providing directions and advises on the AIF initial marketing notification operations and further amendments;
  • Ensure proper contribution to the AIFM fund delegates oversight process in coordination with the responsible of the function;
  • Provide regular key performance indicators reports to the attention of the conducting officer on the adequacy of the risk and liquidity management systems;
  • Support the Conducting Officer in the set-up of the relevant risk management policies and procedures. Ensure that policies and procedures are correctly implemented by the risk management function team;
  • Provide the AIF Board of Directors and the conducting officer with monthly, quarterly or annual reporting and follow up on agreed remedial action plan on regulatory, legal and operational breaches;
  • Provide the conducting officer with monthly, quarterly and annual key performance indicators report;
  • Coaching, mentoring and training: Provide advices and solutions, share experience to build a strong, reliable and autonomous risk team;
  • Support the Conducting Officer on key hiring and skillset requirements according to business needs.

Key requirements: 
 

  • Industry experience: between 7 and 10 years’ experience into  a risk management function. Evidence of the role performed with an AIFM  or similar organization in the Fund industry including Banks is an advantage;
  • Proof and solid knowledge of risk and liquidity technics and tools applied to illiquid assets and relevant strategies;
  • In-depth understanding of all business and operational activities of an AIFM;
  • In-depth knowledge of the legal and regulatory applicable to the AIFM;
  • Master’s in risk management, Finance or Sciences or relevant field of study will be an advantage;
  • Fluency in English mandatory (written and spoken), additional languages are considered as an advantage;
  • Any certifications (CAIA, FRM, PRM, CFA) are considerate an advantage
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and relevant risk systems including reporting tools.
