Reporting to the Senior Manager - Improvement & Excellence, this full-time and permanent position is based in China, Foshan and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our
Operational Excellence and its’ growth.
The Project Manager is responsible for leading and delivering client service transition projects across multiple countries to realise cost savings, and ensuring seamless onboarding, migration, and operational handover for clients.
This role operates at the intersection of strategic vision and hands-on delivery, translating business priorities into actionable project plans that achieve measurable outcomes and lasting client satisfaction.
You will not only provide oversight and direction but also actively engage in problem-solving, issue resolution, and detailed planning when required.
Flexibility is key — you may work across a variety of programs and initiatives, adapting to different business needs and rolling up your sleeves to get things done.
This is a key delivery role with a clear link to business strategy.
You’ll be trusted to make decisions, bring clarity and/or escalate when things are complex, report to a wider program of activity regularly and ensure our priorities land successfully.
You’re the bridge between vision and execution — making sure our strategic intent becomes a tangible reality for the organisation.
Key responsibilities:
- International Project Delivery: Responsible for the oversight, management and delivery of multiple client service transition projects concurrently, spanning 11 countries, with diverse regulatory and operational requirements.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, internal teams, affiliate/third parties and senior stakeholders, ensuring alignment and clear communication throughout the transition lifecycle.
- Governance and Reporting: Establish robust governance frameworks, transparent reporting, and effective escalation channels in line with enterprise VMO standards.
- Execution Support: Provide hands-on leadership in project planning, issue resolution, and delivery activities, proactively managing risks, dependencies, and issues.
- Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams, including project managers, business analysts, and support staff, fostering a culture of ownership, transparency, and continuous improvement.
- Performance Management: Track delivery performance and benefits realization, ensuring value is protected and measurable outcomes are achieved.
- Operational Support: Provides support in delivering key Affiliate Excellence initiatives and outcomes including: small project delivery, implementation of frameworks, tools, and delivery methods, and onboarding and management of Affiliates.
- Ways of Working and Culture: Encourages transparency, ownership, and continuous improvement within programs, fostering a high-performance delivery environment.
- Leading Client Service Transition Projects
- Own the end-to-end delivery of client transitions, from planning through to benefits realization.
- Maintain disciplined delivery—clear scope, realistic timelines, and effective risk management.
- Step in early to resolve issues, remove barriers, and maintain project momentum.
- Support other small-medium size Affiliate Excellence projects, initiatives and activities as directed.
- Portfolio and Strategic Alignment
- Work with senior leadership to shape the transition portfolio, focusing effort where it delivers the most value.
- Ensure every project remains aligned with organizational and client objectives.
- Recommend adjustments to priorities or resources as business needs evolve.
- Ensuring all compliance obligations are addressed prior and during transition
- Building and Guiding Teams and Stakeholders
- Lead and mentor project teams, setting clear expectations and holding teams accountable for results.
- Develop team capability and foster a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
- Develop strong relationships and regular communication channels with key stakeholders internally to ensure they are brought on the transition journey., to mitigate risk and ensure the successful delivery of project outcomes.

- Embed consistent delivery standards, governance frameworks, and best practices across all transitions.
- Promote efficient ways of working, leveraging automation and technology where appropriate.

- Track progress and outcomes at both project and portfolio level.

- Affiliate Management
- Manage and monitor Affiliate/Third party relationships, expectations- defining and clearly communicating expectations, ensuring ongoing alignment.
- Managing reputational, relationship, operational and commercial risks or issues
- Proactively resolving issues – acting as primary escalation point for project issues, disputes and/or concerns. Implementing root cause analysis and corrective action planning where required.
- Maintaining a risk and mitigation tracker for high risk affiliates.
- Facilitating the delivery of appropriate legal documentation to affiliates for the purposes of starting, altering or ending engagement/s
- Leading negotiate to secure desired outcomes.
Key requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, or related field
- Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
- Experience enabling large, cross-functional projects without directly owning business content.
- 8–10 years’ experience in project management, preferably in client service transitions, transformation delivery, or enterprise PMO leadership.
- Track record of managing multiple projects concurrently, ideally across different countries.
- Skilled influencer comfortable engaging senior leaders and guiding discussions to outcomes.
- Experience building accountable, high-performing teams.
- Professional services, shared services, or tech-enabled transformation background preferred.
- Proven experience in project management, ideally with exposure to international client service transitions or within a third party management or procurement space.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including experience working with senior leaders and clients.
- Expertise in project governance, risk management, and reporting.
- Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional, multicultural teams.
- Commercial mindset with a track record of optimizing cost, capacity, and value.
- Hands-on leadership style focused on execution and measurable impact.
- Problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
