We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Associate Director, Client Compliance & Lifecycle. Reporting to the Director, Funds, this full time and permanent position is based in Guernsey allowing you to make a significant contribution to our regional business and its' growth.
You will work closely with the Vistra Guernsey board and Senior Leadership Team on all matters of compliance and client onboarding offering the opportunity to broaden your experience and to have real influence on the future growth of the business.
Purpose of the Role:
- To act as Compliance Officer, MLRO & MLCO for the POI licences.
To ensure the Client Compliance and Lifecycle teams are efficient and effective and fulfil their responsibilities in a timely manner’
Key Responsibilities:
- To manage the team to ensure client and investor on-boarding, periodic reviews and trigger events are undertaken in accordance with local policies and procedures.
- To act as Compliance Officer, MLRO and MLCO to POI licensees.
- To prepare and present Compliance reports to Client Fund Boards.
- To oversight and, where necessary, assist in the undertaking of Client Compliance Monitoring tests.
- To prepare and present reports to the VFSGL Risk Committee and Board.
- To act as a voting member of the VFSGL Business Committee.
- To ensure appropriate business level procedures and controls are in place.
- To provide training to VFSGL and Global Service Centre (‘GSC’) employees as and when required.
- To work closely and collaboratively with the GSC.
- To maintain up to date and accurate management information in all relevant areas.
- To assist with and provide input in to change management.
- To provide guidance and advice to the Client Services Delivery team and the GSC.
- Actively manage team members performance.
- Actively identify opportunities to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.
- Contribute to projects initiatives, system changes and process enhancements.
Attributes / Technical Skills:
Essential:
- Extensive knowledge and experience of laws and regulations.
- Confident and motivational with excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure, handling multiple tasks with changing priorities.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Good inter-personal skills and ability to work collaboratively in team environment and build positive professional relationships.
- Robust organisational, multitasking, time management and follow up skills.
- Demonstrate high levels of integrity.
Desirable:
- Systems aptitude.
Relevant Experience:
- At least 5 years’ Compliance experience.
- A thorough knowledge of the local regulatory legislation and requirements.
Education and Professional Qualification:
- Essential: Holding a relevant compliance or other professionally recognised qualification in relevant disciplines.
