We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as VAT Officer. Reporting to the Tax Director, this full-time and permanent position is based in Luxembourg and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our Tax % Regulatory department and its’ growth.  

 

Key responsibilities: 
•    Assist on standard matters related with all the VAT Services. 
•    Assist the client servicing units/teams with VAT matters in their everyday work. 
•    Deliver effective/efficient professional communication. 
•    Acquire a good understanding of VAT requirements and legal documents. 
•    Be involved in its own development by taking relevant trainings. 
•    Assist with technical matters reported by Vistra team members or clients. 
•    Manage deadlines and the own client portfolio and ensure the preparation of the work on time with the required level of quality. 
•    Be part of the development of the department in line with the objectives. 
•    Seek for a high quality of services and communication. 
•    Get acquainted with client needs when performing VAT work and develop technical research capabilities. 
•    Work closely and effectively with the client servicing units/teams and support Departments. 
•    Understand all the necessary to have Vistra Group and clients perform according to Compliance and AML rules. 
•    Adhere to internal policies and procedures.
 
Key requirements:  
•    Experience in Luxembourg Indirect Tax is essential. 
•    Fluent in English, French or German are considered as asset. 
•    Proficiency with MS Office. 
•    Good communication and organisational skills to meet tight deadlines. 
•    Proactive with a client service orientated attitude. 
•    Attention to detail and ability to prioritise. 
•    Be able to perform supervised work on time. 
•    Be a team player and be supportive towards your colleagues.
•    Minimum 2 years’ experience in Luxembourg Indirect Tax is essential.
•    Experience in management of a client portfolio.
•    University degree or equivalent certification in Accounting or Tax with a specialisation in Indirect Tax. 
•    Fluent in English, French or German is considered an asset.
