Our opportunity for you:

 

Vistra is currently recruiting for an Assistant Manager, Client Accounting who will be responsible for the management of an agreed portfolio of the more complex and key entities for the production of financial statements, management accounts and other financial reporting.

 

Purpose of the role:

The purpose of this role is to be a Key Client Accountant, part of the Private Wealth and Corporate Client Accounting team and the Operations function of Vistra (Jersey) Limited.

 

Scope:

The primary responsibility of the role is the management of an agreed portfolio of the more complex and key entities for the production of financial statements, management accounts and other financial reporting. The secondary responsibilities of the role are to support the Client Accounting Senior Manager in the day to day management of the end to end process of the provision of financial reporting aspects for the Private Wealth and Corporate Client of Vistra (Jersey) Limited and its affiliates, the management of the Shared Service Centre activities and to perform account reviews.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage an agreed portfolio of the more complex entities for the production of Financial Statements, Management accounts and other financial reporting.
  • Carry out high level reviews of financial statements prepared by team members, ensuring the financial statements are accurate and in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Assist in the development of an operating framework which supports the growing needs of the business, utilising shared service centres (where applicable) and play an active part in the deployment strategy.
  • Support the production of monthly and quarterly Management Information and present findings in relevant Vistra governance forums.
  • Comply with all local regulatory and AML/CFT requirements.
  • Comply with Group policies and procedures relevant to the role.
  • Report suspicious transactions to the MLRO or equivalent duly designated person.
  • Lead and contribute to projects, initiatives, system and process enhancements that impact Client Accounting.

  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Demonstrate successful relevant experience at a high level in a similar role
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines, demonstrate responsiveness, provide a proactive approach to work and take initiative.

 

Relevant experience:                                                                                                                      

  • Have a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of accounting standards, trust administration and Jersey Company Law and the ability to remain up to date with appropriate legislation and professional standards.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.

Education/Professional Qualifications:

  • JFSC Category B, Table 4/5 qualification or equivalent
