We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Team Lead – FA. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this full-time and permanent position is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our Know Your Customer department and its’ growth.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Oversee the accuracy and timeliness of the accounting reports and deliverables prepared by the team in accordance with client requirements and SLA.
  • Prepare and update related matters/report as per schedule.
  • Be responsive to client’s enquiries for accounting and other operation matters.
  • Proper planning of engagement so as to be aware of the needs and provide quality service to Clients.
  • Set clear team goals and deadlines with appropriate delegation of tasks.
  • Effective reporting and consultation with Operations Manager & Practice Lead.
  • Ensure quality deliverables, reviewing and approving work of staff prior delivery of final accounts/reports for Operations Manager’s final review OR direct to client.
  • Manage client’s financial accounting closing process, monitoring and reporting systems.
  • Assist Operations Manager in streamlining effective workflow processes and efficient manpower structure.
  • Attend client/management meetings as required by clients.
  • Ensure that all SOPs are strictly adhered to by all staff.
  • Ensure reply/respond to clients’ queries/correspondence not later than 2 working days.
  • Identify potential risks and take/recommend appropriate action.
  • Handle ad hoc activities as assigned.

 

Key requirements:

 

  • Knowledge of end-to-end accounting functions and interaction.
  • Knowledge on some accounting software is an advantage such as Microsoft Navision, Xero, Oracle and SAP.
  • Good command of both spoken and written English. Proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.
  • Sense of urgency, ownership and commitment to on-time and on-quality delivery.
  • Good interpersonal skills and able to work in a team.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a complex accounting environment.
  • Should have experience in stakeholder management either to internal business units or external customers/clients.
  • Technical understanding of domain knowledge.
  • Experience of managing the end-to-end accounting function.
  • Experience of managing a team in a client service or SSC environment is essential.
  • Experience in work migration, system enhancement or process improvement.
  • At least a SPM, Diploma, Degree or in the midst of pursuing professional studies in accounting/financial or its equivalent.
  • ACCA, MIA, CPA or equivalent will be added advantage.
