Within the larger organization of Vistra you will work within our Accountancy and tax advice team De Bruijn en Co. You will work in a closeknit team within the larger, but informal and open, organization of Vistra. Vistra is an environment where initiative and ideas are welcomed and encouraged. Within the organization you will be supporting clients and colleagues in different segments and countries and provide them with advice as an equal sparring partner.
In this position you are responsible for ensuring that our client portfolio is provided with the best quality services. You will ensure and safeguard meeting all regulatory, as well as internal, requirements and timelines with a team of tax advisors and tax compliance specialists with an ambition to grow and expand the local and international client base. You act as first point of contact for the accounting team and other stakeholders with regards to tax compliance queries and requests.
This position is available for 40 hours per week and is based in our Amsterdam office, which is located in a brand new location in the South East area of Amsterdam. This new and modern office is furnished in such a way that flexible working is facilitated and (social) meetings can take place in a pleasant working environment.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and managing a portfolio of local and international tax compliance projects;
- Compile and review of tax filings – (corporate) income tax, VAT, wage tax;
- Act as first point of contact for Tax Authorities, clients ,tax advisors and other stakeholders;
- Recognize opportunities for advice and expansion of service delivery including cross selling to other areas of expertise;
- Ensure files and filing are in line with local applicable guidelines and quality standards;
- Expand and develop the current tax compliance department.
Key Requirements
- Excellent language skills, both in Dutch and in English;
- Practical and specialized knowledge in corporate income tax for local and international operating clients;
- Analytical and client orientated skills;
- Quality and result driven mentality with an open mindset for others;
- University Fiscal Economy or Law degree;
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a tax compliance role – mainly corporate income tax – at a large tax advisory firm;
- Experienced in and comfortable with operating in a local and international environment.
