Our opportunity for you:

 

Vistra is currently recruiting for a Project Manager to support business change to include projects, global transformation and continuous improvement predominately but not exclusively within the Channel Islands. This role requires flexibility and will require some coverage and travel to cover other locations within the UKICIME region (UK, Ireland, Channel Islands and Dubai).  This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast paced growing business which is undertaking a global transformation programme to make it the market leader in Corporate Services.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and champion Vistra’s Change Framework, governance, project management standards, templates and reporting .  
  • Partner with stakeholders, provide project leadership and shape the activity to progress concepts into project proposals and project proposals into value adding outcomes.
  • Manage project execution proactively and take ownership of project deliverables
  • Take ownership of all aspects of the project and develop a financial baseline, ensuring project achieves business goals including profitability, revenue, payment and benefits realisation milestones
  • Conduct weekly project meetings and produce meeting minutes and update RAID logs in the PPM tool.
  • Using the Vistra PPM tool, develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and resource plans. Identify risks, issues, dependencies and manage resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Organise and lead effective project teams, delegating where appropriate and facilitating desired outcomes.
  • Shape and deliver change management plans including communications, using change champions where available, to successfully transition the business to new ways of working as required by the project outcomes.
  • Create and implement a comprehensive cutover plan to account for all rollout and change management activities.
  • Produce meaningful status reports and meeting packs for project Steering Committees, local and UK+ Change Committee.
  • Provide timely meaningful project status reports and manage and report on the project budget to stakeholders and the Regional Portfolio Manager
  • Plan and implement solutions to drive standardisation, centralisation and automation.
  • Work closely with the Finance Business Partner and project stakeholders to manage and report on the project budget and benefits realisation tracking.
  • Plan and coordinate system requirements, UAT, liaising with technology and business stakeholders to develop test cases. Track and manage the execution of test cases.
  • Track and manage the budget and benefits realisation from concept through to post-delivery
  • Work with the operations and business teams to transition the project to BAU and

  • Strong interpersonal skills, to motivate and lead your project team across multiple platforms and locations
  • Excellent organisation skills, to coordinate resource, tasks, risks, issues, assumptions, decisions and budget to deliver to timelines
  • Excellent skills in complex stakeholder management
  • Strong financial business background to deliver accurate forecasting, control and book-keeping of costs and benefits throughout the project’s lifecycle against the budget
  • The ability to use your initiative and make decisions under pressure
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever changing  environment with the tenacity, confidence and resilience to deliver high quality results
  • Versatile with excellent analytical/problem solving skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Application of quality management principles and processes

 

Relevant Experience:

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • An established project manager with a minimum of 5 years’ proven practical experience working as a project manager in a change environment with a proven ability to deliver successful projects using structure methodologies
  • Strong financial business background to deliver accurate forecasting, control and book-keeping of costs and benefits throughout the project’s lifecycle
  • Experience in rolling out business system applications in financial/professional services organisations is essential 
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering complex change, ideally in large organisations 
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with tenacity, confidence and resilience to deliver high quality results
  • Experience in leading large business and technology transformations in financial/regulated organisations
  • Able to quickly form robust partnerships with all stakeholders and sponsors including at Executive level 
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate and lead large international teams 
  • The ability to collaborate and communicate concisely across various internal & and external functions
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organised, attention to detail, outstanding follow through skills and the ability to work independently
  • Ability to facilitate business challenge to the status quo and enable business innovation.
  • Proven ability to define and leverage project resources and budgets 
  • Relevant experience in financial/professional services industry with exposure to regulatory processes and controls
  • Experience in rolling out business system applications in financial/professional services organisations is essential 
  • Working knowledge of project management software tools such as PPM, MSP, Jira, Confluence.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications and a general technical literacy 

 

Education and Professional Qualification:

            Essential:

  • University degree, preferably in a business, finance or computer science discipline
  • Project management qualification with a minimum of 5 years’ proven practical  experience working as a project manager in a change environment with a proven ability to deliver successful projects using structure methodologies
  • Prince 2 Practitioner certification essential plus Agile an advantage considered.
