We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Specialist - KYC (Know Your Customer), based in our Tricor Shared Services, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Reporting to the Team Lead, this full-time and permanent position is based in Malaysia and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our Know Your Customer department and its’ growth. 


Key responsibilities:


  • Assist in ensuring compliance with the group’s AML/CFT policies and procedures, including:


    • Collection of client data and documentation, collaborating with the business unit.
    • Review and verification of client data 
    • Liaise with the business unit to resolve any issues
    • Input client data and documentation into KYC system 
    • Perform WorldCheck and Google screening  
    • Perform regular review on Tricor's customers details 
    • Assist in completing remediation projects


  • Ensure best practices, corporate governance and compliance along with statutory/regulatory requirements are followed. 
  • Ensure that all clients’ documents/records are properly filed in the statutory records at all times and proper housekeeping of clients’ records in Tricor system.
  • Acknowledge receipt of client’s request /queries/correspondences within 1 business day and respond not later than 2 business days.
  • Any other tasks and ad hoc assigned activities assigned by Management.
  • Assist to review specialist’s tasks


Key requirements:


  • Must possess good communications skills, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Good command of both spoken and written English. Proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.
  • Familiar with filing of statutory forms and Companies Acts 
  • Computer literate MS Office
  • Able to work independently and be a good team player.
  • Good interpersonal skills and able to work as a team.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet submission deadlines with minimal advice.
  • Able to identify and demonstrate clear comprehension of customers and organizational needs.
  • 2 - 3 years of relevant working experience in KYC
  • Basic knowledge of listing rules and local governance and practices
  • Experience with ViewPoint 7.4 preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline e.g. Corporate Governance, Finance and Economics
  • Part ACAMS qualification / graduate preferred
