Our opportunity for you:

 

Canyon CTS, part of Vistra is currently recruiting a Senior Client Manager with overall management of a team responsible for delivery of accounting and administration services to a portfolio of clients. This is a great opportunity to be part of a fast paced and rapidly expanding business.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

This position requires management of the following:

  • Overall transaction and client relationship management including oversight, supervision and responsibility for any junior team members involved;
  • Managing and leading a team of 2-5 people;
  • Responsibility for ensuring high client service levels are maintained by any junior team members;
  • Key client responsibility for assigned engagements;
  • Proactively manage deals by understanding clients’ needs and deal documents;
  • Take responsibility for ensuring client administrative and operational procedures are managed effectively and kept up to date;
  • Pro-actively ensure work is completed accurately within agreed timescales;
  • Review of operative documents and implementation of suitable controls and processes, ensuring all tasks are appropriately resourced and managed;
  • Overseeing and managing all relevant aspects of each transaction including but not limited to the related documentation and administrative tasks arising from same;
  • Development of accounting policies;
  • Ownership of the chart of accounts and trial balance with responsibility for ensuring all accounts are reconciled and open items cleared within agreed timelines;
  • Review of output from assigned team members, ensuring this is completed to a high standard and within prescribed deadlines; such output includes but is not limited to:
  • monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts for allocated clients  under applicable accounting standards, as required;
  • draft financial statements;
  • oversight, management and support on audit deliverables, ensuring reporting deadlines are met as scheduled and liaising directly with auditors and other advisors as required;
  • SPV reporting, were applicable;
  • Monthly Investor Report following strict application of the cash flow waterfall processes and checklists;
  • Reconciliation of servicer reports to bank accounts and Monthly Reports;
  • VAT and CT returns
  • execution of funds transfers to and from accounts, as required;
  • receipt and disbursement of funds through to settlement; and
  • daily cash reconciliation of client operating accounts through to resolution

 

  • Preparation of and filing of all regulatory returns to the Central Bank of Ireland on a timely basis;
  • Co-ordination and completion of the annual audit process, ensuring all reporting deadlines are met as scheduled;
  • Annual budgetary process and variance reporting – working in close collaboration with the Servicer;
  • Successful implementation of all relevant systems, policies, process and controls and responsibility for ensuring compliance with same;
  • Ensure all inquiries both internal and external are dealt with promptly;
  • Maintaining excellent working relationships with clients, servicers, investors, rating agencies, legal counsels and others as appropriate; and
  • Any other ad hoc duties that may be assigned to you from time to time

 

Attributes/ Technical Skills:

 

  • Demonstrates a strong client services ethos, delivering and promoting exceptional service to clients
  • Communicates in an effective and professional manner, with excellent verbal and written skills
  • Results oriented, making and meeting commitments
  • Strong organisational skills with ability to prioritise tasks and deadlines
  • Highly organised with an eye for detail
  • Proactive, self-motivated and ability to work on own initiative
  • Positive approach to teamwork
  • Analytical mindset with ability to identify opportunities for leaner, consistent processes which promote accurate data capture.

 

Relevant experience:

 

  • Up to 4 years post qualification experience, preferably in the client services industry or accounting practice
  • Experience in aviation industry a significant advantage, but not essential
  • People management experience.

 

Education and Professional Qualification:

 

  • Qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CPA/CIMA)
