We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Senior Vice President. Reporting to the Director, Aviation, this full-time and fixed term position of 12 months is based in Shannon, Ireland and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our Aviation department and its’ growth.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • This position requires management of the following in respect of an allocated portfolio of clients:
  • Overall transaction and client relationship management including oversight, supervision and responsibility for the client management team involved
  • Managing and leading a team of 5-10 people
  • Implementation of all relevant policies and procedures and responsibility for ensuring team compliance with same
  • Implementation of suitable process and controls
  • Ensuring client specific administrative and operational procedure documents are managed effectively and kept up to date
  • Proactively ensure high quality client service level is maintained by all team members, and that work is completed accurately within agreed timescales
  • Proactively manage deals by understanding clients’ needs and deal documents
  • Review of operative documents and implementation of suitable controls and processes, ensuring all tasks are appropriately resourced and managed
  • All aspects of cash management in accordance with the corporate administration agreement
  • Assist in implementation of standardised accounting process
  • Provide technical accounting supports to other teams, when necessary, and assist in training for aviation accounting
  • Development of accounting policies
  • Ownership of the chart of accounts and trial balance with responsibility for ensuring all accounts are reconciled and open items cleared within agreed timelines
  • Oversight of the preparation of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting, including single entity and consolidated financial statements (to include account analyses) in accordance with IFRS (or other applicable accounting standards) within prescribed deadline
  • Oversight of the preparation pre filing of client tax returns (i.e. Corporation tax, VAT and Payroll taxes)
  • Co-ordination and completion of the annual audit process for all clients, ensuring all reporting deadlines are met as scheduled
  • Review pre filing of all regulatory returns to the Central Bank of Ireland on a timely basis
  • Maintaining excellent working relationships with clients, servicers, investors, rating agencies, legal counsels and others as appropriate
  • Monitoring client profitability and implementing change actions as required
  • Ensuring clients are billed in accordance with agreed terms
  • Ensuring achievement of all targets and KPIs as agreed with the directors
  • Monitoring team performance and provide necessary coaching & mentoring,
  • Managing probationary process and regular staff appraisal meetings for team
  • Ensure all inquiries both internal and external are dealt with promptly, and
  • Ad hoc duties that may be assigned from time to time
     

Key requirements:

  • Direct people management experience
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and client servicing skills
  • Strong time management skills with a proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Results oriented
  • Highly organised with an eye for detail
  • Resourceful, independent and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Team player with flexible and hands-on approach where required
  • Analytical mindset with ability to identify opportunities for leaner, consistent processes which promote accurate data capture
  • At least 6 years post qualified experience, preferably in the corporate services industry or accounting practice
  • Financial services experience, ideally in structured finance and/or aircraft leasing
  • Qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CPA)
