We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Senior Trust Officer. This full-time and permanent position is based in the Channel Islands and offers the opportunity to be responsible for the administration and client service of a portfolio of high net-worth clients. Additionally, the Trust and Corporate Senior Officer is expected to work effectively within a Trust team to ensure the delivery of efficient client service.

           

Key Responsibilities:                        

  • Responsible for the efficient day-to-day management of all client affairs in accordance with the terms of the appointment including the maintenance of all relevant Trust/Company records within an assigned portfolio
  • Assist and supervise junior team members with the administration of their portfolios
  • Manage the administration and client service of a portfolio of high net worth clients
  • Consider client requests in consultation with file Manager/Director on technical and legal matters or any sensitive issues where appropriate
  • Responsible for the efficient day-to-day management of all client affairs in accordance with the terms of the appointment including the maintenance of all relevant Trust/Company records within the portfolio
  • Arrange the opening and closing of bank accounts and liaison with relevant banks in relation to transactions
  • Complete all tasks that arise as a result of the annual and periodic client reviews and other internal control reviews in a timely and efficient manner
  • Provide ongoing cash management in respect of the client portfolio including monitoring of cash balances, fixed deposits and overdrafts
  • Maintain an awareness of the performance of clients’ investment portfolios against stated benchmarks, bringing any potential problems to the attention of the File Manager/Director
  • Provide on the job training and assistance as required for junior and new team members
  • Comply with all local regulatory and AML/CFT requirements
  • Comply with all Group policies and procedures relevant to the role
  • Report suspicious transactions to the MLRO or equivalent duly designated person

 

Relevant Experience & Skills:                                 

  • 3-5 years’ experience in trust and company administration
  • Thorough working knowledge of Trust and Company Administration, to include relevant legislation, regulation and sound understanding of basic accounting
  • Ability to recognise and respond to risk situations and remain up to date with appropriate legislation and professional standards
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with clients, intermediaries and colleagues
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Team player
  • Accuracy and attenti0on to details
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines, demonstrate responsiveness, provide a proactive approach to work and take initiative
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills

 

Professional Qualifications                       

  • JFSC Category B, Table 4/ 5 qualification or equivalent
