Our company in the Netherlands is looking to recruit a Senior Tax specialist. Are you ready for your next step in your career? Someone who is passionate about managing our tax obligations and minimizing risks while working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure our business complies with relevant tax regulations and standards.  

 

You will be working alongside an energetic team of colleagues, active in various disciplines, who look after all kinds of regulatory tax initiatives and projects. In this role, you will get the freedom to use your experience, analytical skills and innovative mindset to accurately managing the tax obligations and minimizing risks for our clients. You will report to the Tax Director Regulatory & Tax Compliance. 

 

Our team is based in our Amsterdam office but practices a hybrid working environment so we provide you the possibility to work partially from home.  

  

Key responsibilities 
  

  • Coordinate and managing a portfolio of local and international tax compliance projects; 
  • Compile and review of tax filings – (corporate) income tax, VAT, wage tax; 
  • Act as first point of contact for Tax Authorities, clients ,tax advisors and other stakeholders; 
  • Recognize opportunities for advice and expansion of service delivery including cross selling to other areas of expertise; 
  • Ensure files and filing are in line with local applicable guidelines and quality standards; 
  • Expand and develop the current tax compliance department. 

  

Key Requirements 
  

  • Excellent language skills, both in Dutch and in English; 
  • Practical and specialized knowledge in corporate income tax for local and international operating clients; 
  • Analytical and client orientated skills; 
  • Quality and result driven mentality with an open mindset for others; 
  • Masters degree in Tax Law or Fiscal Economics; 
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in a tax compliance role – mainly corporate income tax – at a large tax advisory firm or in-house at a multinational company; 
  • Experienced in and comfortable with operating in a local and international environment; 
  • Available for 36 or (preferably) 40 hours per week.
