We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Senior Manager/Manager, Tax Advisory. Reporting to the Head of Tax, this full time and permanent position is based in Shanghai.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced China Tax Senior Manager / Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both tax compliance and advisory services, preferably with experience in a Big Four accounting firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tax Compliance: Oversee and manage tax compliance processes for clients, ensuring adherence to Chinese tax laws and regulations.
  • Tax Advisory: Provide expert tax advisory services, including tax planning, structuring, and tax optimization strategies.
  • Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, delivering exceptional service and proactive advice.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Regulatory Updates: Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations, communicating their impact to clients and the team.

 

Key requirements:

 

  • Experience: A minimum of 8-10 years in tax compliance and advisory services, focusing on the Chinese market and China outbound clients.
  • Big 4 Experience: Preferably, experience working in one of the Big Four accounting firms.
  • Education: A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are a plus.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in Mandarin and English is required.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in interpreting complex tax regulations.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of explaining complex tax concepts to non-specialists.
