We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Senior Manager, Private Wealth & Corporate. Reporting to the Associate Director, Private Wealth and Corporate, this full-time and permanent position is based in United Kingdom and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our Private Wealth and Corporate Department and it’s growth.

 

Purpose of Role

 

  • You will:
    • Manage and administer a portfolio of UK Trusts
    • Sit on the board of the Vistra corporate trustee entity
    • Help the team Managers oversee and administer a complex portfolio of international corporate and private clients
    • Sit on the boards of client companies
    • Work toward achieving revenue targets set by the Director

 

  • You will assist the Director and Associate Director with:
    • the delivery of the client services
    • the management of all UK personnel who deliver these services to clients
    • delivering profitability and financial performance
    • driving and monitoring customer satisfaction
    • work collaboratively with colleagues in the region and across Vistra internationally
    • Assist with the creation and meeting of industry beating SLA’s, plus the KPI’s to monitor performance against them for the services delivered by the team

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Take ownership of and administer a portfolio of UK trusts, ensuring proper governance and compliance with all applicable UK regulations and financial reporting (accounting and tax) requirements; be first point of contact for any third parties connected to the UK trusts; delegate tasks to team members as and when required.
  • Sit on the board of the Vistra UK corporate trustee company.
  • Help oversee a complex portfolio of UK and international clients and be willing and able to perform a broad range of services connected thereto (from administrative to complex).
  • With the Associate Director’s supervision, oversee the team’s portfolio of clients, guiding the  team in the provision of a broad spectrum of client services, ensuring swift and accurate responses from the team; promptly identify possible client issues and be point of escalation in order to resolve them effectively and efficiently; be point of reference for the team for any complex and/or technical queries, especially surrounding UK trust administration and governance.
  • Act as director and bank account signatory on client companies, understanding all duties and fiduciary responsibilities in that respect, and ensuring that they are carried out precisely and effectively. Be mindful of any conflicts that may arise with regards to the appointment as board member of the UK corporate trustee.
  • Help ensure the provision of high-quality client services in all aspects of the fiduciary offering provided by the team.
  • Work closely with the Associate Director to develop existing client relationships.
  • Work closely with the Commercial and Capital Markets teams to win new UK trust work.
  • Help ensure all work performed is charged to clients in a timely manner and that all work undertaken is charged at appropriate fees.
  • Review and recommend changes in fee structures, where considered appropriate, to the Associate Director.
  • Help ensure systems are in place to enable the department to manage and control customer due diligence and report all concerns in respect of suspicion of money laundering activity to the Compliance Officer.
  • Assist the Associate Director with the personal and technical development of the team.
  • Play an active role in contributing to marketing content and sharing best practice, supporting marketing, promotional and sales initiatives as appropriate.
  • Help ensure delivery of the department’s budget and operating plan.
  • Work toward achieving personal revenue targets.
  • Carry out ad-hoc duties, as required by the sector head
  • Take an active role in Vistra Group projects.

 

Attributes/Technical Skills

 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills – foreign languages would be an advantage, but are not essential
  • Work ethic – ability to get things done quickly and to a high quality

Relevant Experience

 

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in administering UK trusts and in client relationship management at management level.
  • Experience in working with different jurisdictions, understanding cross-border arrangements and how these might affect clients, good understanding of financial and accounting, legal and corporate governance concepts
  • Experience in holding personal directorships and the fiduciary duties thereto related
  • Proven track record in driving client service excellence and revenue growth while expanding portfolio and qualifications through new products and services 
  • Proven track record of growing client relationships and revenue from these clients
  • Personable and enthusiastic, with a confident, professional and commercial outlook
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Capable of working under pressure and with minimal supervision

 

Education and Professional Qualification

 

•           Demonstrable UK trusts and client relations experience gained at a respectable firm 

•           Educated to degree level and holder of a suitable qualification (STEP, ACCA, CTA, LLM)
