We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional as Senior Depositary Officer. Reporting to the Head of Department, this full-time and permanent position is based in Luxembourg and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our Operations department and its’ growth.  


Key responsibilities:
 

  • You will be responsible for your portfolio of Private Equity and Real Estate clients.
  • You will carry out in a timely manner the tasks required from the Depositary under the AIFM legal and regulatory environment such as:
    • Due diligence on new funds and service providers,
    • Daily cash flow monitoring,
    • LPs subscriptions,
    • Portfolio asset transactions and asset ownership verification.
  • You will perform your work complying at all times with all existing laws and regulations and with Vistra’s internal procedures.
  • You will issue the quarterly KPI reports for your funds.
  • You will build trustworthy relationships with our existing and new Private Equity and Real Estate Fund clients and will be their first point of contact.
  • You will assist the Depositary Manager during the on-boarding of new funds and will work closely with the on-boarding team to ensure this phase goes smoothly.
  • You will assist the Depositary Manager in the review of the constitutional documents of the funds.
  • You will assist the Depositary Manager in the drafting of Depositary Service Agreements and Operating Memoranda.
  • You will supervise the work carried out by the Depositary Officers, provide them with ad hoc training and assistance, and will be their first escalation point.
  • You will manage relationships with clients, internal and external providers such as Central Administration, AIFM, Lawyers, Auditors or Banks.
  • You will assist during the funds' audits (notably with issuing the year-end portfolio asset position).
  • You will escalate to your supervisor any identified risk or issue.
  • You will ensure proper billing and will monitor recovery of outstanding invoices.
  • You will plan your tasks and those of the Depositary Officers in order to ensure timely deliverables.
  • You will ensure that we comply at all times with AIFM requirements and keep abreast of any legal, regulatory or professional standards likely to affect our business.

  • You are responsible for what you do and are able to escalate any complaint from the clients, any operational risks or issues as per the regulations in force.
  • You are able to prioritise your tasks.
  • You can deal with pressure and have no issues to service clients under tight deadlines.
  • You can work autonomously with a good team spirit.
  • You have good communication and adaptation skills

 

Key requirements
 

  • Three to five years' experience in a depositary/custody function gained in a professional depositary, a depositary bank or similar experience gained in audit, fund accounting or transfer agent.
  • Private Equity / Real Estate funds experience.
  • Knowledge of the AIFM regulatory environment for depositaries.
  • Fluent in English and French. German is an advantage.
  • University Degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
  • Good command of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
