We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Senior Associate within Corporate Development, supporting the integration of acquired companies and the separation of divested businesses. This full-time hybrid role offers regional coverage and the chance to make a significant impact on our inorganic growth agenda.

 

Purpose of the Role:

The Senior Associate is responsible for planning and executing seamless integration, separation and carve-out strategies, operating through a robust Integration Management Office (IMO). The role focuses on day-to-day delivery of complex, cross-functional programs to ensure deal objectives are achieved, value is realized, and disruption to the business is minimized across M&A transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Integration, separation & carve-out delivery

  • Design and execute end-to-end integration, separation and carve-out plans aligned to deal rationale and value drivers.
  • Lead oversight of assigned workstreams through the Integration Management Office (IMO).
  • Design and maintain detailed execution plans, including milestones, dependencies and critical path activities.
  • Ensure business continuity and operational stability throughout transition periods with deal Sponsors.
  • Support TSA design, execution and exit where applicable.

 

2. Stakeholder management

  • Partner with senior stakeholders to drive delivery and resolve issues.
  • Prepare and present IMO reporting for steering committees and executive forums.
  • Proactively surface risks, issues and decision points with clear recommendations.

3. Governance, reporting & value tracking

  • Own integration and separation reporting through the IMO, including progress, risks and financial impacts.
  • Track synergies and value creation with the deal team.
  • Develop and track one-off integration/separation costs.

4. Change management & communications

  • Support change management and communications across integration and separation programs.
  • Work with HR and leadership teams to support cultural integration, organizational design and workforce transitions.

5. Continuous Improvement:

  • Capture lessons learned and feed into integration playbooks and IMO standards.
  • Contribute to the development of tools, templates and best-practice IMO approaches.

 

Requirements:

 

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 2 - 5 years of relevant work experience in M&A integration and/ or operational due diligence consulting, in the integration department of MNCs or, Big 4’s; and/or performance improvement (value creation) or business transformation projects in an M&A context.
  • Experience operating effectively in complex, fast-paced environments and delivering integration updates to C-suite executive teams.
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong communication skills, result-oriented and solution-oriented and able to bring about changes;
  • Enthusiastic, proactive and self-starting;
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with “can do“ approach
  • The ability to influence and drive geographically dispersed teams
  • Must have proven ability to realign priorities rapidly to meet evolving business requirements. 

 

Desirable

  • Experience with TSAs and Day 1 / Day 100 planning.
  • Experience tracking synergies and value realisation.

Project or programme management qualifications (e.g. Prince2, PMP, MBA).
