Senior Accountant

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Senior Accountant. Reporting to the Country Managing Director, this full-time and permanent position is based in Slovakia  and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our Funds business and it’s growth.

The ideal candidate will be capable of independently managing accounting projects, overseeing junior team members, and ensuring compliance with Slovak accounting standards and tax legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial statements, VAT returns, and corporate income tax returns (CITR) independently
• Manage accounting projects and ensure timely delivery of high-quality outputs
• Ensure compliance with Slovak accounting and tax regulations
• Liaise with auditors and tax authorities as needed
• Preparation of client’s MEC reporting based on their accountning policies and specific requirements

Attributes & Technical Skills:

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proven experience in Slovak accounting, including preparation of VAT and CIT returns
• Strong knowledge of Slovak accounting standards and tax legislation
• 2-3 years professional experience in outsourcing of accounting services for external clients
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Helios, Pohoda, or similar)
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to quickly learn new systems and tools
• Independence, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills
