Senior Accountant

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Senior Accountant. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this full-time and permanent position is based in Bulgaria and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our operations and its’ growth. 

Key responsibilities:

•       Maintenance of the accounting records of clients in accordance with local regulations;
•       Preparation and submission of clients’ VAT returns and tax returns in accordance with local regulations;
•       Registration and communication with the tax authorities in regard to on-going accounting or tax issues of the clients;
•       Assisting in preparation of the client’s financial statements in accordance with their specific requirements;
•       Assisting in participating in month end, quarter end and year end closings;
•       Maintaining good relations with clients and identifying their needs and potential issues; 
•       Working on in-house accounting software and client software as well;
•       Issuing sales invoices,
•      Preparation of payment orders in clients’ portals, processing payment approvals;
•      Assisting in VAT recovery procedures;
•      Performing individually or as part of a team of any other tasks assigned additionally by the direct manager.

Key requirements:

•      Good knowledge of CIT Act, VAT Act, National accounting standards and other relevant accounting legislation. Very good command of Bulgarian and English language. Good computer literacy - MS Word, Excel, Outlook
•      Experience with working on different ERP Systems
•      At least 2+ years accounting experience
•      University degree in Accounting, Finance or any other relevant discipline.
