Senior Accountant

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Senior Accountant. Reporting to the Manager, this full-time and permanent position is based in Sofia, Bulgaria and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our Operations and its’ growth.
 

Key responsibilities:

• Arranging and organizing the bookkeeping and the accounting entries of the clients;
• Organizing the work and delegating tasks to subordinates;
• Development of internal controls and supervision of proper execution of the work by the subordinates;
• Maintaining good relations with clients and identifying their needs and potential issues;
• Cooperation with other departments within Vistra, in order to assure proper quality of services to clients;
• Establishing communication procedures with clients;
• Authorization of payments on behalf of clients, based on their authorization;
• Acting as a proxy of clients;
• Preparation of monthly / quarterly / annual management reports, in accordance with international standards and internal requirements;
• Filling-in timesheets and work time evidence;
• Ad-hoc projects as required and requested by the superior.

Key requirements:

• Essential: Very good knowledge of CIT Act, VAT Act, National accounting standards and other relevant accounting legislation. Very good command of Bulgarian and English language. Good computer literacy - MS Word, Excel, Outlook
• Desirable: Experience with working on different ERP Systems

Relevant Experience:

• Essential: At least 5+ years accounting experience

Education and Professional Qualification:

• Essential: University degree in Accounting, Finance or any other relevant discipline.
