Senior 1 - Business Analyst

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Senior 1 - Business Analyst. Reporting to the Manager, Operations Relationship Management, this full-time and permanent position is based in Mauritius and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our team and its’ growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be the owner of relevant Vistra and Client systems and processes, taking on more complex tasks and responsibilities.
• Lead the review and oversight of the setup and maintenance of static data on Vistra and Client systems, ensuring accuracy and adherence to client requirements.
• Conduct advanced data cleansing activities on systems, driving process improvements and addressing recurring issues.
• Act as the escalation point for client and investor requests and queries, ensuring they are redirected to the relevant Vistra teams and locations for resolution; provide follow-up and ensure all requests are completed promptly and accurately.
• Oversee and review investor release templates, ensuring they align with client requests, and escalate deviations where necessary.
• Lead the accurate upload and quality control of investor reports and ad hoc reports on systems for release.
• Identify gaps and areas for improvement in Vistra and Client systems and take the lead in coordinating with relevant teams to implement solutions.
• Monitor and ensure proper tracking of deliverables using set formats, proposing enhancements where required.
• Oversee and review user access for Vistra and Client systems, ensuring compliance with internal controls.
• Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, managing expectations and developing a robust communication process for reporting progress.
• Ensure full compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as adherence to relevant procedure manuals.

Key Requirements:

• Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with a demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills, with the ability to propose actionable solutions.
• Advanced data analysis and documentation skills, with experience creating detailed reports and presentations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint, as well as experience with tools like Viewpoint, Investran CRM, Salesforce, and SharePoint.
• Demonstrated ability to learn and understand complex software tools, data models, and systems.
• Experience in Agile and Waterfall development environments, with the ability to adapt based on project requirements.
• Proven ability to identify and address process inefficiencies, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and multitasking skills, with a track record of meeting deadlines.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in business analysis or a related field, with prior experience in the financial services sector being essential.
• A degree in Information Systems, Mathematics, or Business Administration; additional certifications in business analysis or project management will be an advantage.
