We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Risk and Regulatory Analyst. Reporting to the manager, this full-time and permanent position is based in Poland (Warsaw) and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our compliance department and its’ growth.
Job Summary:
The Risk and Regulatory function at Vistra is responsible for the oversight and management of the Enterprise Risk Management framework and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. The function must meet the expectations of multiple stakeholders, including boards of directors, regulators and front line business units with the aim of ensuring that enterprise risks and regulatory compliance risks are appropriately identified, mitigated, managed and monitored.
Vistra is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Risk and Regulatory Analyst to join our second line risk function and be part of our Legal, Risk and Regulatory Centre of Excellence in Poland where you will gain a unique opportunity to work across compliance risk areas with our global network of colleagues.
The successful candidate will be primarily focused on compliance risk assessments and monitoring and testing in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and will embrace automated solutions to track, monitor, and report on various risks and controls in place.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure that risk controls in place deliver compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies by way of risk assessments and ongoing compliance monitoring. Assist in the development and implementation of compliance risk management frameworks and tests.
- Risk Tracking and Reporting: Use Vistra’s Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) automated system to identify, assess, and monitor compliance risks across various business units. Generate regular risk reports for senior management and stakeholders.
- Risk Analysis: Conduct thorough risk assessments and analyses to identify potential compliance risks and their impact on the organization. Provide recommendations for risk mitigation.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date risk data within the automated GRC system. Ensure data integrity and consistency.
- Collaboration: Work closely with peers and other departments to gather compliance risk-related information and support risk management initiatives. Participate in risk management meetings and provide insights.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving compliance risk management processes and tools. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging risks.
- Training and Awareness: Deliver compliance risk management training and awareness programs regularly and provide guidance and support to the first line of defence on risk management practices including assisting the implementation of risk controls. Promote and enhance the use of Vistra's GRC system.
- Automation and Standardisation: Proactively seek out initiatives to automate manual risk management tasks. Standardise risk management processes and risk assessment templates globally as a key business priority while ensuring regulatory compliance.
Qualifications and Experience
- Educated to degree level in risk management, law or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years risk experience in financial or corporate services or other relevant.
- Preferably experience with enterprise risk management frameworks.
- Experience in risk analysis and internal controls, including the setting of control objectives and control procedures to be put in place.
- Experience in risk control self-assessments (“RCSAs”) including testing of internal controls and reporting on output.
- Experience with automation and GRC platforms.

- Robust organisational, multitasking, time management and follow up skills.
- Demonstrate high levels of integrity.
- Good understanding of local and global regulatory landscape.
- Skilled in identifying regulatory and risk-related challenges and developing innovative solutions.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English language (other languages desirable).
- Strong analysis skills (both quantitative and qualitative).
- Attention to detail is a must to ensure producing high quality, reliable analysis.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
