Purpose of Role

The Viewpoint Release Manager at Vistra will be responsible for managing and executing internal releases and regular system upgrades of our core client Integrated Entity Governance & Compliance platform Viewpoint. This role involves deploying releases across multiple jurisdictions, deciding on how new features and enhancements are being rolled out with the business and the Viewpoint Product Manager. The position focuses on ensuring efficient deployment and integration of upgrades to enhance system functionality and user experience. Additionally, the role requires establishing a comprehensive release management process and procedures, with a strong emphasis on testing.

 

About the Operations Technology Team

The Operations Technology team acts as the Operational business owner for key Service Delivery applications across Corporate & Fund Services. Corporate Services domain areas include Entity Management, Document Management Systems (DMS), Client KYC and Screening, Client Regulatory Filings, Client Accounting and Payments and Productivity apps such as Workflow Management. We translate commercial and market business requirements into actionable needs and executable application roadmaps. The team is responsible for executing the Service Delivery application strategy, deploying enhancements, and application implementation.

 

Scope

  • Plan Viewpoint Connect upgrades, coordinating deployment across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Lead the management and execution of internal weekly releases for Viewpoint Connect forms, templates, and reports.
  • Lead the management and execution of external quarterly Vendor releases/ upgrades.
  • Collaborate with the Viewpoint Product Manager and markets on how new features and enhancements are being rolled out.
  • Organize business and technical workshops to discuss standardization and system improvements.
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive release management process and procedures.
  • Manage dependencies and align releases with business objectives.
  • Ensure and pan thorough testing of all releases to guarantee quality and functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Release Management: Plan, schedule, and manage internal weekly releases and upgrades.
  • Testing Coordination: Ensure all releases are thoroughly tested to maintain system quality and functionality.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into system enhancements.
  • System Optimization: Identify and implement improvements to enhance system efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Change Management: Coordinate with system and business application stakeholders for continuous improvements.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate release plans and updates to senior management and the wider business.
  • Workshop Facilitation: Organize and lead workshops to discuss system standardizations and improvements.
  • Process Development: Develop and implement release management processes and procedures to ensure smooth operations.

Relevant Experience and Skills:

  • Functional and technical expertise in Viewpoint Connect and related components.
  • Knowledge of entity management, practice management/ ERP, and document management.
  • At least 5+ years of previous relevant experience of being a Release Manager
  • Experience with change management in a multinational and matrixed financial services group.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Effective planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Hands on experience of using tools such GitHub/ Altassian apps
  • Advanced business analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Extensive experience in testing and quality assurance.

Education and Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field or comparable working experience. Advanced degrees or certifications in release management or related fields are a plus.
