We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Payroll Specialist.This full-time and permanent position is based in Sofia and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our Corporate business and it’s growth.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Ensuring Clients are served according to our service level agreements, which provide the following:
  • Preparation and maintenance of personal files of employees, according to regulations;
  • Maintainance of employees’ work time evidence, in agreement with the information provided;
  • Processing of payroll information, calculation of staff remuneration upon receipt of data (including bonus systems, fringe benefits, overtime etc.);
  • Calculation of absences: holidays, sick leave, maternity benefit and others;
  • Preparation of salary pay slips;
  • Disbursement of funds to the employees/contractors using the Client’s payroll subaccount, if required;
  • Registration of the Client and its employees’ data at the Social Security and tax offices as well as other required institutions;
  • Preparation and submission of monthly tax and social security returns;
  • Preparation of payment orders to the social security and tax offices using the Client’s payroll account;
  • For new hires, the upload of all payroll data and calculating work experience from labour books;
  • For terminated employees, the preparation of pension documents and the calculation of unused paid leaves.
  • Prepare management reports for clients
  • Solving HR & Payroll issues;
  • Take role in new clients set-up;
  • Prepare explanations regarding HR & Payroll area queries;
  • Supporting the Payroll Manager in other tasks
  • Cooperation with other departments in order to assure proper quality of services for Clients;
  • Other administrative tasks connected with Payroll services, not mentioned above;
  • Filling in timesheets and work time evidence;
  • Ad-hoc projects as required and requested by the superior.

What are we looking for in you? 

  • Good knowledge of the Labour Law, the Social Insurance Code, the Health Insurance Act, the Personal Income Taxation Act
  • Minimum 1 year in payroll area.
  • Good command of the English language.
  • Knowledge of payroll programs 
  • Analytical skills, strategic thinking, ability to manage a team, time management skills, stress management, assertiveness.
