The (Assistant, Payroll) will be responsible for managing client payrolls, ensuring accurate payroll processing, and handling all related tasks including tax deductions, social security calculations, and adherence to legal requirements.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Process payroll for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Calculate and record all necessary deductions, including taxes, social security, and other withholdings.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and social security regulations.
  • Utilize payroll software to manage and update employee payroll data.
  • Maintain accurate records of payroll transactions and resolve discrepancies.
  • Respond to client inquiries regarding payroll and resolve any payroll-related issues.

 

Clients and Commercial

  • Management of the client database
  • Assist on client day-to-day client payroll operations, as well as other ad hoc requests
  • Other related duties as may from time to time be reasonably required

 

Service Delivery

  • Works closely with the Marine & Aviation team, to ensure the quality of client services and adherence to their requirements in compliance with the relative laws
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships

 

Regulatory and Corporate Governance

  • Keeping abreast of developments on payroll legislation and other relevant laws to ensure that the Vistra Group complies with the respective regulations for the jurisdictions in which we operate
  • Uphold Vistra’s values by promoting a culture of professionalism, teamwork and equality

Relevant Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a client-facing role
  • Strong understanding of payroll systems, social security regulations, and tax deduction processes.

 

Education and Proffesional Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in payroll software or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws related to payroll and deductions.
  • Payroll-related certifications (such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)) are a plus.
