Onboarding Manager

The Onboarding Manager for the Netherlands will be responsible for managing and co-ordinating the full spectrum of onboarding activities, from working with the commercial teams, clients, completing KYC, performing risk assessments and handover to the Service Delivery teams. This role ensures a seamless and compliant client experience while working closely with internal stakeholders and clients. The ideal candidate will drive efficiency, risk mitigation, and process enhancements to optimize the client journey.
Key Responsibilities
Client Onboarding and Due Diligence:
- Plan, manage and oversee the end-to-end onboarding process, ensuring timely and efficient client activation.
- Act as the primary Onboarding contact for new clients, working with the commercial and service delivery teams to ensure a seamless transition into Vistra.
- Collaborate with internal teams (commercial, Compliance, Service Delivery) to agree plans and ensure all onboarding requirements are achieved in a timely manner.
Process Governance & Optimization
- Maintain data to support management oversight (local, regional and global) of process effectiveness and enable processing risks to be identified and managed quickly
- Leverage technology, automation, and data analytics to improve client lifecycle management. Look for opportunities to add value and reduce the costs of processing
- Collaborate with global and regional teams to ensure alignment of onboarding processes with organizational goals
Operational Excellence:
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with the onboarding process for individual clients, and across the process as a whole.
- Partner with compliance teams to manage regulatory changes impacting the onboarding activities.
- Leverage technology and automation tools to improve onboarding workflows and reduce manual effort.
Supporting Business Development and Growth:
- Support business development efforts by providing onboarding expertise in client pitches and proposals.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling additional Vistra services during the onboarding process. Support with uploading and maintaining opportunities on V Force
Attributes/Technical Skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with clients and internal teams effectively
- Ability to assess risks, identify inefficiencies, and implement process improvements
- Basic knowledge of AML/KYC regulatory requirements, and industry standards
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with a client-centric approach
Relevant Experience
- 2 - 5 years of experience in client services, onboarding and KYC, or client lifecycle management
- Familiarity with Dutch Corporate structures and/or European corporate clients
- Experience with onboarding corporate clients within a Corporate Services, Fund Administration or Financial Services Provider
Education and Professional Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., MBA, CFA) preferred.
