We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Officer for Vistra Fund Service. Reporting to Manager, this full-time and permanent position is based in Shanghai and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our FA&T - Fund and its’ growth.
Key responsibilities:
1. Fund Accounting & Administration
- Handle daily fund accounting tasks, including bookkeeping, voucher review, and expense accruals.
- Assist in preparing financial statements, capital account statements, portfolio holdings, and other fund-related documents.
- Support the annual fund audit by preparing audit schedules and financial data.
2. Capital Activities
- Assist with calculations, notification drafting, and system entries related to capital calls and distributions.
- Track capital transactions with limited partners (LPs) and maintain investor records and capital accounts.
3. NAV & Fee Calculation
- Assist in calculating net asset value (NAV), management fees, and carried interest.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure accuracy and compliance with the fund’s Limited Partnership Agreement (LPA).
4. Fund Setup & Operations
- Support the setup of offshore and onshore funds, including document collection, account opening, and process follow-ups.
- Assist with compliance and administrative procedures related to fund operations, and coordinate with external counsel, custodians, banks, and tax advisors.
5. Client & External Parties Coordination
- Help maintain relationships with fund clients (GPs/investment managers) and respond promptly to operational and financial requests.
- Communicate effectively with auditors, custodian banks, tax consultants, and other external stakeholders.
6. Team Support & Ad Hoc Projects
- Support team members with fund accounting tasks as needed.
- Complete ad hoc assignments or projects related to fund administration and finance.
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a relevant accounting certification or equivalent qualification.
- 2–5 years of experience in accounting, fund accounting, Big 4/accounting firms, asset management, or corporate finance in a multinational environment preferred.
- Knowledge of fund accounting processes or background in fund management, fund finance, or investment firms is a plus.
- Familiarity with PRC basic accounting and tax principles, with interest in or understanding of fund structures and fund operations.
- Proficient in Excel and financial software for handling large datasets; experience with fund accounting systems is preferred.
- Strong written and spoken English skills, capable of preparing fund reports and communicating with clients.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, fast learner, logical thinker, and detail-oriented.
- Responsible, with strong professional ethics and the ability to work in a cyclical, deadline-driven fund environment.
