Our opportunity for you:


Vistra is currently recruiting for a Director, Capital Markets who will be handling responsibility  of business development for Capital Markets in US and Canada aimed at revenue generation in destination markets.


Purpose of Role:                             

  • This role has responsibility of business development for Capital Markets in US and Canada aimed at revenue generation in destination markets. The role involves implementing sales strategies across the North American market for consistent growth in sales across all applicable CM product lines



  • Achievement of Revenue Targets across all CM product lines
  • Building US Capital Markets for services across debt market issuances and structured finance
  • Product Management
  • Business Process administration
  • Compliance, Risk management/mitigation and adherence to system and processes


Key Responsibilities:

              Commercial - working with the Commercial, Marketing and Regional teams:

  • ensure delivery against the annual targets and longer-term business plan for US market
  • Develop the short and medium term Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy and specific business plans for CM services
  • Develop and manage the CM product pricing framework


  • Identify and execute specific CM client opportunities in the region whilst also continually building the opportunity pipeline
  • Act as the CM representative/Subject matter expert for customers and industry
  • Is the lead customer interface and responsible for clients covered under CM Global Key Accounts Program
  • Building US Capital Markets across debt market issuances and SPV administration services viz. Bond Trustee, Security Trustee, Facility agent, Escrow fiduciary management, Administrators of Structured Finance, RMBS, CMBS, CDO, CLOs, etc. On and off balance sheet structures, air craft leasing and shipping structures
  • Support development of capital markets products and work with other commercial and transaction management team in locations to ensure delivery of location targets and business plan.
  • Sourcing both domestic and cross border transactions
  • Extensive networking, exploring all industry sectors for new client sourcing and building market share
  • Pitching of Structures, pricing closure and coordination of global RFPs
  • Responsibility for coordination with Vistra Legal, Operations, Compliance teams
  • Raising Invoices, Payment tracking & ensuring Payment received in constant coordination with accounts.


Attributes/ Technical Skills:

  • Strong team-player with demonstrable experience of working in a dynamic organisation and able to build bridges between the different stakeholders within the organisation – countries/ regions and sectors
  • Strong knowledge of CM structures in US market including ABS and bond issuances, CLOs, structured lending operations, familiarity with SPV and Transaction Administration and a keen understanding of applicable tax and regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrated skills in developing and negotiating partnership agreements and CM documents, experience with fee structures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills


Relevant Experience:

  • Experience in debt capital markets, structured finance transactions and derivatives
  • Proven track record managing commercial relationships in the industry including reviewing and negotiating contracts whilst ensuring appropriate governance structures are in place to safeguard relationships
  • Minimum experience of 12-15 years in business development domain
  • Hands on working experience in US financial market and understanding of regulatory framework and interface with Regulators
  • Sales/ marketing background in financial services/ Corporate Banking etc.
  • Excellent network in the US Capital Markets space


Education/ Memberships:

  • BS in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related discipline with 10+ years of experience in senior roles in the Capital Markets industry. (CPA, MBA or advanced degree preferred)
