We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Financial Services Accountant. Reporting to the Manager, this full-time and permanent position is based in the Netherlands and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our team and its’ growth.

Our opportunity for you 

Vistra is looking to recruit an experienced Medior Financial Services Accountant Corporates for our Corporate client portfolio.

Scope

You will deliver accounting services and advice to Corporate firms. This sector specific Accounting Team consists of 5 accountants and a manager.

You will perform sector specific accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements and disclosures. You will also be ensuring the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting standards. Finally, you will provide assistance on complex client transactions (capital calls, distributions, sale & purchase of assets, complex loans, etc) and manage the booking in the accounting system.

Key responsibilities 

• Prepare and / or review the Financial Statements;
• Prepare and / or review the bookkeeping (accruals, interest calculations, accounting for sale and acquisition of assets, conversions between local GAAP and Dutch GAAP or IFRS principles);
• Prepare and / or review the distributions and capital contribution requests;
• Prepare and / or review the cash flow statements;
• Review and prepare the Client specific monthly reporting;
• Prepare and coordinate CIT & VAT returns;
• Prepare the audit file and assist with statutory audits;
• Follow-up and coordinate on client specific accounting requests;
• Contact client in order to support relationship manager;
• Manage the relationship contact on internal Vistra matters.

Attributes & Skills

• Expert level of Dutch GAAP, knowledge of IFRS is preferred;
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; Dutch is preferred
• You are pro-active, focused on quality, persuasive and you have great advisory skills.

 Relevant experience

At least 2-5 years of relevant experience (preferably at a trust office, audit firm or other financial institution).

Education/Professional Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance (e.g.. Accounting, Business Economics, Business Administration).
