We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Managing Consultant based in our Tricor Axcelasia Sdn Bhd, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Reporting to the Director, this full-time and permanent position is based in Malaysia and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our growth.


Key responsibilities:


Operations/Functional Responsibilities:


  • Assist the Director to prepare annual Internal Audit Strategy Plan and Document by identifying potential auditable areas for clients.
  • Schedules and plans audits; initiates projects planning, assesses risk and develops audit focus.
  • Performs preliminary planning and establishes direction for audits, provide leaderships to assigned auditors, manage project to quality outcomes, while meeting established time budget.
  • Lead the kick off the exit meeting in the absence of Associate Director or Director.
  • Supervise the audit engagements and provide guidance to the audit team. These include the identification of auditable areas and assign the audit team based on agreed auditable process.
  • Review on the completeness of audit fieldwork, audit working papers and potential observations.
  • Perform audit fieldwork based on agreed auditable areas that have been allocated for by obtaining, analyzing and evaluating relevant records, reports, documentation, data, flowcharts etc.
  • Provide on job-training for new staff.
  • Review the draft report to ensure the accuracy and completeness.
  • Develop and maintaining good relationship with clients.
  • Engage to continuous knowledge development regarding sector’s rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards.
  • Able to work independently and as part of the team when necessary.
  • Attending staff meeting and staff functions.
  • Submitting the time sheet on time.
  • Ad-hoc duties from reporting superior.


People Management:


  • Effective reporting and consultation with Manager/ Director.
  • Coordination & Communication with other team members / other Divisions.


Key requirements:


    • At least 4-5 years of relevant experience
    • Minimum degree in Finance/ Accounting/ Business Administration or Professional qualification (ACCA/ CIMA/ CPA/ CIA) or equivalent.
    • Possess good command of English and Bahasa Melayu with flair of report writing.
    • High attention to detail and excellent analytic skill.
    • Able to perform with skillset of MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
    • Able to manage time efficiently.
    • Good communication skills and managing team member.
    • Prepared to travel whenever required.
    • Posses own transport.
    • Ability to use own initiative.
    • Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work effectively with less supervision and as part of a team.
    • Ability to think objectively and demonstrate sound judgement.
    • Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
    • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
