We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Manager – Client Acceptance Process , based in our Mumbai office. This full-time and permanent position is based in India and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our Client Acceptance Process and its’ growth.


Key responsibilities:

  • Leadership and management of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) processes for the assigned business line / jurisdiction.
  • Driving governance calls with stakeholders by presenting dashboards demonstrating KPIs are delivered as per agreed SLAs on completeness, timeliness and accuracy standards.
  • Ensure KYC policies and procedures are consistently applied and that critical issues /risks are escalated to stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Maintain subject matter expertise on AML/KYC matters and guide the teams for compliance and ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process maps, training material and records are kept up to date.
  • Identify trends, actionable root cause for all errors / escalations and areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Drive excellent performance, foster a service quality, innovation, and continuous improvement culture by developing, coaching and training the teams, providing feedback, celebrate achievements and recognize team member efforts on an ongoing basis.
  • Drive service improvements and efficiencies, demonstrated by productivity gains, appropriate utilization of available capacity across teams and ensure cross-training amongst team members;
  • Work closely with Client Acceptance leadership to ensure any transition of new processes is planned, supported and executed to expectations.
  • It is important that the candidate be exceptionally well organized and able to work under pressure to tight deadlines and is essential for them to be proactive.


Key requirements

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience with Corporate service providers / Banks / Financial Institutions serving global customers such as corporates / trusts / funds / other legal entities in Client acceptance / Onboarding / Client Reviews / other allied processes. At least 3 years of Team management experience.
  • Must be a graduate, degree preferably in the fields of legal, tax and/or compliance. Relevant AML, KYC certifications would be a plus.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to analyse and articulate various risks, ability to evaluate and document mitigation measures in a concise and precise manner and comfort in communicating with clients, colleagues globally and third parties.
  • Self-driven and highly motivated individual, able to work independently and under pressure with strong organizational and interpersonal skills and a solution oriented attitude
  • Positive, flexible personality, easy to adapt to changes, willing to undertake new tasks, and overall contribute to the Client Acceptance team.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of financial crimes and compliance with good analytical, reporting and problem solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience with documenting processes and data verification and ability to effectively meet deadlines, manage expectations, collaborate with teams virtually and globally.
