We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Manager, HR Partner, China. Reporting to Vice President, HR Partner, North Asia, this Shanghai-based position provides dedicated HRBP support to the China In-Market business, covering approximately 400 employees across multiple locations in China.
The role serves as a trusted advisor to business leaders and employees, driving people initiatives, organizational effectiveness, employee relations, talent management and workforce planning. The position will also coordinate closely with People Services, Global Pay, and Centers of Excellence to ensure effective delivery of HR services and a consistent employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
Business Partnering
- Partner with business leaders on organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, talent management, employee engagement and performance management.
- Act as a trusted advisor on people-related matters and provide practical HR guidance aligned with business priorities.
- Support organizational changes, team effectiveness initiatives and business transformation activities.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across multiple locations and functions.
Employee Relations & People Solutions
- Provide guidance on employee relations matters and support resolution of employee issues.
- Support managers in handling people matters in line with company policies and local labor regulations.
- Drive a positive employee experience and support employee engagement initiatives.
HR Operations & Coordination
- Coordinate with People Services, Global Pay, and relevant COEs to ensure smooth execution of HR processes.
- Support employee lifecycle processes, organizational updates, data management and reporting requirements.
- Ensure timely and accurate implementation of HR programs, policies and operational activities.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, internal policies and HR governance requirements.
- Provide HR insights, workforce data analysis and reporting to support business decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 8 years of HR experience in China, with solid HRBP experience.
- Proven experience supporting business populations of 300+ employees across multiple locations.
- Strong knowledge of China labor laws, employee relations and core HR processes.
- Experience partnering with senior business leaders and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent communication, influencing and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English.
- Self-driven individual contributor with strong ownership and business acumen.
