We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Manager, Business Development. Reporting to the Director, Business Development, this full-time and permanent position is based in Indonesia and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our Commercial team and its’ growth.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  1. Delivery of agreed revenue and client acquisition targets

  • Delivery of new business revenue target as agreed annually;
  • Carry out individual and team business development strategy in key markets and sectors;
  • Meet activity targets for number of meetings etc.;
  • Operate within agreed cost budgets;
  • Upkeep of ongoing sales pipeline list: drive conversion of pipelines to business wins working closely with commercial and operation teams;
  • Organized and attend marketing activities for clients’ engagement.

 

  1. Contribution to business development strategy and plans

  • Contribute to overall strategy for business development covering key business lines;
  • Create program of activities in accordance with agreed budget;
  • Contribute to wider Marketing plan and PR strategy;
  • Participate in local activities and social media strategy;
  • Create focused list of intermediaries and prioritize engagement.  Deliver various presentations/product information to intermediaries and potential new clients at their locations;
  • Review and develop plans as circumstances evolve.

 

  1. Development of relationships within Vistra Group

  • Develop and enhance relationships with Vistra Group staff, both amongst the BD community and operations;
  • Attend Vistra Group Marketing events and development modules as appropriate;
  • Contribute to the cross-sell initiative. 
  • Risk management and compliance    
  • Remain fully aware of and comply with personal and Vistra’s obligations under all applicable law, regulatory requirements and regulatory guidance notes, in particular to anti money laundering, tax evasion and the countering terrorist financing;
  • Maintain familiarity with regulations and company policies and procedures;
  • Effective liaison with the Compliance function.

 

  1. Develop relevant technical and product knowledge

  • Develop and maintain sufficient product knowledge to promote all aspects of Vistra’s products and services;
  • Carry out training programs for self-development;
  • Conduct training and development for staff where appropriate.

 

  1. Uphold the Vistra values, act as a role model for the team and represent self internally and externally with highest standards of professionalism

  • To uphold Vistra’s values by promoting a culture of professionalism and teamwork;
  • To have a good understanding of Vistra’s overall vision and direction

 


Key requirements:

 

  1. Education

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Taxation, or a related field.
  • Overseas graduates or graduates from highly reputable universities are advantageous.

 

  1. Experience

  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management within professional services or financial services.
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue and client acquisition targets.
  • At least 3 years of experience in closing deals with clients.
  • Prior experience in Big Four accounting firms is a strong plus.

 

  1. Skills & Competencies

  • Strong business development, negotiation, and deal-closing skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, intermediaries, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution capability.
  • Highly skilled in delivering presentations and engaging with C-level executives in multinational companies.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; proactive and adaptable.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, self-sufficient, detail-oriented, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform due diligence reports and related financial analysis.
  • Strong business ethics; conducts all activities with honesty and integrity aligned with company values.

 

  1. Additional Requirements:

  • Capacity to partner with business leaders to support organizational strategy and execution, creating measurable business impact.
  • Participation in business development modeling reviews and projects.
  • Ensure business cases are adequately documented, with appropriate expert input and sign-off.
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements (AML, KYC, tax evasion, counter-terrorist financing).
