Our opportunity for you:

Vistra Malta is looking for a motivated and energetic Accounts Executive to join our dynamic accounting team, servicing our fast growing portfolio of international clients.

This role is an opportunity for continued development in a fast moving global organization, if you are interested in working within a CSP Company and getting exposure on client accounting VAT and TAX, this is the right opportunity for you!

Purpose of the role:

This role assists the Accounts Manager on the Accounts matters of Vistra (Malta) Limited’s clients.

Scope:

Key responsibilities:

• Updating accounting records and preparation of regular management accounts for a portfolio of international holding and trading entities;
• Preparation of tax computations and submission of income tax returns;
• Preparation and submission of VAT returns; and
• Liaising and supporting external auditors.

Service Delivery

• Works closely with the Manager, Accounts and the accounting team to ensure adequate support for the accounting operations and to help meet department targets
• Works closely with the Manager, Accounts to ensure the quality of client services and adherence to their requirements in compliance with regulatory requirements

Regulatory and Corporate Governance

• Keeping abreast of developments in accounting, VAT, Income Tax and Accounting Standards, and other relevant laws to ensure that the Vistra Group complies with the respective regulations for the jurisdictions in which we operate
• Uphold Vistra’s values by promoting a culture of professionalism, teamwork and equality

Attributes & Skills:

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; and
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications especially Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of the Maltese tax system and computerized accounting software will be considered assets.

Vistra will offer the candidate the necessary training and ongoing support to perform the assigned tasks and develop in a professional accountant.

Relevant experience:

• A partly-qualified Accountant having successfully completed the fundamental modules of the ACCA or ACA examinations and having a minimum of two years’ experience in the field of accounting, tax or auditing;
• Able to work both on his/her own initiative as well as in a team;
• Able to multi-task, priorities his workload and adhere to deadlines;
