We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Senior Assistant Finance, Regional Finance. Reporting to the Senior Accountant, Regional Finance (MY), this full-time and permanent position is based in Malaysia and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our Regional Finance and its’ growth.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Operate as part of Finance SSC.
  • Reporting to Assistant Manager, support Finance Director on finance business partnering role to a global business unit.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports and schedules to support business performance review.
  • Prepare month-end closing analysis. This includes revenue and cost reconciliation, identifying & preparing relevant adjustment schedules, and working with other GSC Finance teams to ensure transaction is booked accurately and timely.
  • Assist in budget and forecasting initiatives.
  • Assist in financial and client data reconciliation and ad hoc requests.
  • Undertake ad hoc projects as needed.

 

Key requirements:

 

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in record to accounting/ reporting area.
  • Degree in Finance and/or Accounting or an equivalent qualification
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office/ Excel Applications
  • Good written and oral communication skills in English & Chinese
  • Team player with good people and communication skills.
  • Must possess good customer service skills.
  • Able to work under pressure in meeting deadlines. Hardworking.
  • Results-oriented and detail-minded person.
  • Highly motivated with ability to deal with ambiguities, able to work within ill-defined boundaries.
