We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as an Assistant, Legal & Trust Management in the Trust Operations Support. Reporting to the Associate Director, Legal and Trust Management, this full-time and permanent position is based in Malaysia and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our Trust Operations Support and its’ growth.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Support the Trust Relationship Managers in delivering a full suite of trust and corporate services to clients
  • Provide prompt, excellent and professional trust and company administration services
  • Ensure that clients’ data base is kept up to date along with clients’ records and accuracy of data being captured in the appropriate system
  • Conduct administrative reviews on existing trust and company structures.
  • Prepare and draft Trust-related documents
  • Conduct name screening of trust related parties
  • Ensure regulatory filings are conducted on a timely basis
  • Participate in transaction monitoring and review trust accounts
  • Comply with the Group’s internal control and audit standards
  • Participate in ad hoc projects or matters that are ancillary to trust administration, including but not limited to invoicing and credit control.


Key requirements:

 

  • Degree in Law and/or Certificate in Legal Practice (or equivalent)
  • Degree in related discipline or professional qualification would be considered subject to fulfilment of other key requirements
  • STEP qualification is an added advantage
  • Strong written and spoken English level
  • Chinese proficiency is an added advantage
  • Develop and maintain adequate trust knowledge to deliver full suite of trust and corporate services to clients
  • Develop and maintain technical knowledge of trust and corporate structures
  • Detail oriented able to work with minimum supervision in a fast paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Develop interpersonal skills
  • Strong work ethic; professional and approachable
  • Able to multitask and is meticulous
  • Inquisitive and self-motivated
  • Strong knowledge of the regulatory and compliance regime
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
