We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional as Financial Manager, based in our Luxembourg office. You will play an important role in the development of our business and in maintaining our strong reputation and global leadership standing.  

This role will give you exposure to global financial markets and develop your client account management and development skills to build trustful, long-term client relationships.  

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Support to manage a team of Fund Accounting professionals with Senior Manager: responsibility for leadership and management of junior staff including training, development and encouragement of an environment of participation, motivation, teamwork and open communication;

  • Support the Senior Accountants/Accountnats when preparing the Net Asset Value calculations in accordance with individual funds’ requirements and perform review;

  • Ensure that current accounting standards (Lux GAAP and IFRS) and best practice principles are applied to the accounts production

  • Provides assistance on complex client transactions (such as capital calls, distributions, sale & purchase of assets, complex loans, share acquisition) with legal team and transfer agent teams

  • Assisting the client with the audits of the fund and its SPVs

  • Liaison with client representatives, intermediaries, lawyers and other professionals;

  • Coordination and preparation and review of regulatory and statutory reporting (BCL/ CSSF)

  • Preparation of SPV and GP annual accounts and their filing with eCDF

  • Reviewing tax returns and tax balances and work in coordination with the internal tax compliance department for preparation of VAT / CIT returns

  • Record the working hours/client in the time billing system according to the objectives set

  • Coordination and support to the internal tax compliance team for filing of tax and VAT declarations for funds, SPVs and GPs;

  • Act as authorized signatory and assist with authorization of payments, transfers, deposits on behalf of the client, wherever necessary

  • Assisting the Management Team for essential project work and internal administration when required

  • Take board membership mandates for the SPVs which is being servicing by


Key requirements:

  • University degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration/Economics, (ACCA-qualified or part qualified would be a distinct advantage)

  • Good knowledge of Lux GAAP and IFRS (US GAAP would be an advantage)

  • 6-7 years of experience with a professional services firm or a reputable audit firm (big 4 is preferable)

  • Have strong communication skills and work well in a team

  • Are accurate, flexible, hands-on and deliver their best work when facing a tight deadline

  • Proactive with a client service orientated attitude

  • Ability for multiple tasks requested at the same time and set priorities

  • Ability to solve problems and work independently and as a member of a team

  • Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills.

  • Advanced Excel skills
