We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as UKICI – Finance Manager, reporting to the Ireland Financial Controller, this full-time and permanent position is based in Bristol, U.K and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our Finance Department and its growth.
Scope
50% Regional Finance Manager role covering operational expenditure (OPEX), cost of sale (CoS) and staff cost reporting for the UK, Ireland, Channel Islands (UKICI).
50% Ireland Finance Manager role supporting the Ireland Financial Controller.
No direct reports.
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Regional Finance Manager role:
- OPEX, CoS, and staff costs control and reporting across the P&L and balance sheet, ensuring recognition of cost in adherence with local GAAP/IFRS accounting and Vistra chart of accounts for UKICI
- Onshore point of contact and partner to Vistra GSC R2R team based in India and Commercial Finance Business Partners for all cost related control matters
- Trade creditors, accruals and prepayments reporting and control, with reporting line into country Financial Controllers to highlight key risks and observations
- Primary point of contact for the external auditors for cost of sale and operational expenses testing, including related balance sheet accounts, covering UKICI
- Support UKICI Financial Controllers in the coordination and completion of all statutory audits
- Ireland Finance Manager role:
- Work with the Ireland Financial Controller to coordinate the month end close for Ireland, including approval of manual journals, process oversight, financial analysis and delivery of quality reporting
- Ensure compliance with local rules and regulations assigned to Finance including taxes, regulatory and Vistra Group reporting requirements
- Assist with financial activities including working capital management, board reporting, internal control oversight, Vistra Group and GSC team queries etc
- Support the Ireland Financial Controller in the coordination and completion of the Ireland statutory audits
- General:
- Drive efficiencies and a continuous improvement culture across UKICI finance, leading from the front with new ERP system (SAP/S4HANA)
- Support the Regional Financial Controller and Country Financial Controllers to drive the direct and indirect cost reporting transformation agenda for the UKICI business, leveraging GSC capacity/capability
- Undertake any other ad-hoc projects and BAU tasks as assigned
Attributes/Technical Skills
- Able to work with limited supervision, to make decisions, work on your own initiative and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
- IFRS and local GAAP knowledge
- Qualified accountant e.g. ICAEW/CIMA/ACCA
- Experience of ERP systems advantageous (ideally SAP/S4HANA)
- Multinational experience advantageous
Relevant Experience
- Experience of working within a financial services or professional services organisation is desirable at the Finance Manager level
