We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Finance Business Partner, Technology, reporting to the Head of Tech Finance, this full-time and permanent position is based in Malaysia and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our Finance team and its’ growth.
Key responsibilities:
- The role interacts with the CTO, technology leadership and wider team, as well as acting as an advisor and controller of technology costs to country finance teams.
- You will be responsible for the reporting of technology Finance figures, providing support for budgets and forecasts throughout the year, advising on accounting treatment for various types of spend and control and allocation of technology recharges.
- Supporting Global Technology Opex Budget of $65M p.a.
- Key member of the Group Finance team, with direct input into the CTO’s office.
- Direct input into the global technology budgets, including ensuring accurate reporting of technology spend alongside variance analysis, with clear commentary on drivers.
- Direct input into country budgets/forecasts ensuring local technology spend accurately reflected and reported
- Interpreting and communicating group accounting policy in relation to technology spend to both country finance teams, and importantly, Group leadership.
- Review and support on technology contracts to ensure correct accounting policy, locality and budget/forecast applied
- Work with senior management to develop ad hoc financial models and complex analysis for technology spend globally.
- Working with the technology team to look for opportunities where efficiencies and savings can be made.
- Attend team meetings, provide regular monitoring and updates to country finance leads
- Preparation of financial presentations and analyses for budget and forecasts.
- Help develop new processes and new reports to deliver timely, accurate, actionable financial information.
Key requirements:
- Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience.
- MBA/ Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or related disciplines
- Qualified accountant with membership of CPA/ ACCA preferred
- Able to clearly communicate insight, policy and ideas to non-finance colleagues.
- Must be comfortable challenging senior stakeholders.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to find practical solutions to problems.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles with a commercial mindset required.
- Experience working in a matrix structure, private equity and a fast-paced international environment a plus
