We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Executive Director Private Assets Administration. Reporting to the Head of Funds Service Delivery Continental Europe, this full-time and permanent position is based in Luxembourg  and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our Funds business and it’s growth.

 

This role has overall responsibility for the financial performance, client franchise, service delivery, employee management and external & regulatory relationships for the Vistra Fund Administration business in Luxembourg, as well as ensuring that the Luxembourg business is an increasingly valuable, integrated part of the global organisation.  The individual will lead the organisation with purpose, both internally and externally, drive a global, common culture and play a key role in executing the strategy of Vistra Fund Solutions in one of its core markets.
 

The scope includes all fund service delivery responsibilities for Luxembourg clients, including fund accounting and investor servicing, together with corporate legal, tax and regulatory support.  The services are provided by local teams of approximately 130 professional staff, with a further 120 in global servicing centres.  The scope will also include regulatory responsibilities subject to any necessary approvals.  The scope includes close collaboration with global leadership teams to further refine and execute on strategic goals. 


Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Drive the execution of Vistra's fund servicing strategy, focusing on acquiring new clients while ensuring existing clients benefit from white glove service levels
  • Engage and inspire all staff to embrace the vision and strategy, ensuring they deliver on strategic priorities through strong leadership, setting a positive example, and maintaining continuous communication with colleagues at all levels.
  • Act as the internal and external ambassador for Luxembourg, representing the country to global business units and markets, as well as clients and potential clients.  Recognize Luxembourg as an important execution market and a significant part of our global Fund Solutions portfolio. 
  • Continuously enhance the operating and client servicing model, optimising both onshore and offshore opportunities and automation, to drive client satisfaction, maintain high quality standards, improve efficiency, and establish market leadership. 
  • Work alongside finance teams to develop, implement, and execute annual budgets, control headcount and cost-of-sales, and identify overhead efficiencies and establish performance measures to optimize resource utilization across all functions and lines of business. 
  • Continuously enhance the client experience, particularly in terms of onboarding and service delivery, while fostering seamless cooperation with global colleagues. Address and resolve client service issues promptly and effectively. 
  • Cultivate a positive and constructive relationship with local regulators, with a primary focus on the CSSF. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain timely and transparent communication regarding operational approvals, necessary notifications, and other relevant matters.
  • Champion change management initiatives, providing guidance and support to leaders, managers, and staff during organizational changes and leadership development, while upholding our culture, values, and brand.
     

Attributes & Technical Skills:

 

  • Technical understanding of how private markets work from investor servicing through transaction support and the full chain of accounting and reporting services
  • Strong local & global team-player with experience in working in a dynamic organisation and able to build bridges between the different stakeholders within the organisation
  • Exemplary leadership skills and ability to effectively oversee multi-jurisdictional and multi-discipline teams and operations 
  • Leveraging local market opportunities and conditions as well as group strategy, set & drive initiatives generating business growth
  • Ability to think outside of the box, to challenge status quo, but to do so diplomatically and collaborative manner, always aimed at moving forward
  • Culturally sensitive and experienced in dealing with multiple nationalities and business cultures
  • Ability to deal with ambiguities and work within ill-defined boundaries
     


Relevant Experience:

 

  • Experience of leading a growing business, in a regulated, multinational, multi service environment, including working with shared service centres. 
  • Proven track record of managing operations teams in the Luxembourg alternatives market.
  • Experience of driving organic growth through increasing revenue from the existing client base as well as acquiring new clients.
  • Demonstrable results from actively managing change, from idea inception to fully implementing changes in operating, servicing and technology models 
  • Robust capabilities around business planning, budgeting and managing P&Ls for a business of this type:

 

Education and Professional Qualifications:

 

  • Degree in an accounting, legal or business field (academic level) or MBA
