We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Client Manager Accounting. Reporting to a Senior Client Manager, this full-time and permanent position can be based in Shannon or Dublin allowing you to make a significant impact to our regional Aviation business and its’ growth. 

 


Purpose of Role:

 

 

Responsible for delivery of accounting and compliance services to a portfolio of aviation clients

 

 


Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Accountable for review and approval of all ongoing servicing activities provided to clients, including but not limited to monthly management accounts, annual financial statements, corporate income tax and VAT returns of client
  • Commercial review of transaction agreements, to obtain an in depth understanding of all aspects of the transaction and to determine appropriate accounting for same
  • Financial accounting duties for client including:
    • Review and/or preparation of management accounts and any other ad-hoc reports required
    • Review and/or preparation of consolidated and/or entity statutory financial statements; co-ordinate and liaise with external auditors throughout the audit process
    • Preparation, review and filing of client tax returns (i.e. VAT, RCT, Corporation tax and Payroll taxes) and liaise with tax advisors where required
    • Preparation and filing of regulatory returns to the Central Bank of Ireland, where required, on a timely basis
  • Responsible for the internal control of the client accounting and administration processes in use; Identifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiencies, and implementing change
  • Co-ordination and management of the annual audit process and tax compliance work, ensuring review for all audit deliverables as required
  • Attendance and participation at client board meetings and AGMs where required (e.g. to present financial results), and subsequent filing of the financial statements with the CRO
  • Maintaining excellent working relationships with clients and also with third parties such as Revenue Commissioners, Auditors, Tax advisors, Legal advisors and banks as required
  • Escalating any issues in relation to client to senior managers/directors
  • Ad hoc duties that may be assigned from time to time

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and client servicing skills

  • Resourceful, independent, and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Team player with flexible and hands-on approach where required
  • Analytical mindset with ability to identify opportunities for leaner, consistent processes which promote accurate data capture

 

 

Relevant Experience:

 

  • Experience in the corporate services industry or accounting practice
  • Financial services experience will be a significant advantage, ideally in aircraft leasing

 


Education & Professional Qualification:

 

  • Qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CPA/CIMA)
