Our opportunity for you:

 

Vistra is currently recruiting for a UK Finance Manager to support the Financial Controller in delivery of audit, planning cycles and HMRC compliance. This is an opportunity to join an exciting fast paced business during a time of change.  We have recently implemented SAP 4HANA and are in the process of bedding it in.  This is a challenging role in a global business that offers progression both in the UK and globally.

 

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordination and production of month end UK and Group financial reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness within a timely manner
  • Understand, analyse and provide clear commentary on the key actual to budget variances in the monthly UK management accounts.
  • Analyse performance against KPIs; identify and analyse potential improvements.
  • Review and validate outputs from finance business partners.
  • Support UK FC in the coordination and completion of all statutory and tax compliance reporting including annual audit, SRA and ICAEW audits
  • Support the roll-out of the ERP (SAP 4HANA) implementation across the UK.
  • Oversight of the activities in the P2P, O2C and R&R functions.
  • Designs operational procedures and processes that meet group standards and improve efficiency.
  • Assist UK FC and finance business partners in production of annual budgets with a focus on maximising profitability and operational efficiencies.
  • Supporting the planning process (budget and forecast)
  • Oversight and control (with the credit control manager) of aged debts, including ensuring sufficient provisioning are in place.
  • Ensure UK adheres to Group Treasury policies and procedures.
  • Production of bi-weekly cashflow forecasts
  • Support the FC in the continuous improvement of finance processes and drive efficiency across the UK finance department.
  • Preparation of ad-hoc financial reporting requirements
  • Support the advancement of a single UK finance structure which is supported by an offshore shared service function.
  • Support the UK FC in completing annual impairment reviews on investments & intangibles

 

 

Relevant Experience:

  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Able to concisely interpret financial information.
  • Experience of ERP systems (SAP/S4HANA experience advantageous).
  • Great organisation skills enabling deadlines to be met and objectives achieved to the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.
  • Financial modelling skills essential (advanced excel).
  • IFRS and UK GAAP accounts experience
  • Experience within a financial services or professional services organisation desirable.

 

 

Education and Professional Qualification:

  • ACCA/CIMA/ACA
