For our Amsterdam office, Vistra is looking to recruit a Banking & Transaction Monitoring Officer who is available for 40 working hours. In this role, you are committed to ensuring all payments for our clients are done in a timely and accurate manner. You will work closely together with our offshore payments team and local relationship managers and financial services accountants.

 

The teams consist of energetic professionals that are eager to continuously challenge each other and develop themselves to bring out the best in the team and every individual.

 

You will report into the Manager Co-Sec and provide a full range of banking and administration tasks and act as a resource for colleagues in other departments.

 

Key responsibilities
 

You will manage relationships with banks, ensure systems are up to date and perform support on a variety of paralegal-related activities.

 

  • Be the first point of contact for banking contacts;
  • Manage the relationship with financial institutions and banks;
  • Prepare the opening and closing of bank accounts in close cooperation with the business;
  • Ensure bank account access and authority is granted or retracted in close cooperation with the GSC, business, HR and Legal;
  • Monitor the quality of payments done by GSC and participating in monthly service review calls;
  • Prepare and handle of standardized resolutions and proxies (i.e. absence, extension financial statements, changes of bord, address, other statutory changes, etc.);
  • Perform administrative tasks and assists with preparation and review of (standardized) legal documentation and forms;
  • Support with organization of (board, general) meetings including invites, powers of attorney, lunch arrangements, room bookings, as well as preparation concept minutes for board and/or general meetings.
  • Support coordination and preparation of the client onboarding process, client onboarding documentation as well as administrative activities to i.e. ensure files and systems are set-up accurately;
  • Handle/monitor internal client outflow process;
  • Ensure accurate administration and filing. Also support business teams with accurate (digital) filing of documents;
  • Handle requests for certification, legalisation, apostille;

 

Key Requirements
 

We are looking for a pro-active, persuasive new colleague, with a high focus on quality and client satisfaction. If you are the perfect candidate, you will have:

 

  • Excellent command of the English and preferably Dutch language, verbal and written;
  • Basis knowledge of Dutch legal requirements in relation to Transaction Monitoring within the corporate services industry, like Act on the Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing (WWFT) and Act on the Supervision of Trust Officers (WTT);
  • Payments Industry Knowledge – understand the role of SWIFT in making payments and the different SWIFT message types;
  • Coordinating and planning skills;
  • Excellent communication and people skills;
  • 3+ years of relevant experience;
  • MBO education or proven equivalent experience and knowledge.
