We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as an Assistant Finance Manager. Reporting to the UK Financial Controller, this full time and permanent position is based in UK and offers the opportunity to support the production of the month-end management & statutory accounts for the UK. This role will ensure our finance processes & controls are consistent, work efficiently and effectively. Support the FC in delivery of audit, planning cycles and HMRC compliance.

 

Key Responsibilities

                       

  • Coordination and oversight of balance sheet controls, Leading quarterly balance sheet reconciliation forum.
  • Monthly payroll oversight, implementing and maintaining finance policies and procedure to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Coordination and oversight of intercompany and intracompany transactions and reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Design operational procedures and processes that meet group standards and improve efficiency.
  • Oversight of aged debts, including ensuring sufficient provisioning are in place.
  • Production of bi-weekly cashflow forecasts.
  • Support the production of month-end UK and Group financial reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness within a timely manner.
  • Support UK FC in the coordination and completion of all statutory and tax compliance reporting including annual audit, SRA and ICAEW audits.
  • Support the UK Finance Manager with oversight of P2P, O2C and R2R activities.
  • Support the planning process (budget and forecast).
  • Support the treasury process, ensuring UK adheres to Group Treasury policies and procedures.
  • Support the FC in the continuous improvement of finance processes and drive efficiency across the UK finance department.
  • Support the advancement of a single UK finance structure which is supported by an offshore shared service function.

 

Relevant Experience & Skills         

                       

  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to concisely interpret financial information.
  • Experience of ERP systems (SAP/S4HANA experience advantageous).
  • Great organisation skills enabling deadlines to be met and objectives achieved to the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.
  • Financial modelling skills essential (advanced excel).
  • IFRS and UK GAAP accounts experience
  • Experience within a financial services or professional services organisation desirable

 

Professional Qualifications

           

  • Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA
