We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Assistant Manager, Tax. Reporting to Tax Director.
Purpose of Role :
Integral member in the tax department assisting with the management of the compliance service offerings in VISTRA’s corporate department.
Scope :
The overall purpose of the role is to assist with managing the tax compliance for clients and to provide a strong tax advice service to the client base. The firm’s client base is varied and diverse operating in a multitude of industries and jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Preparing, reviewing, and filing tax computations, personal and corporation tax returns, as well as CGT and CAT documents for domestic and global clients.
- Engage with Revenue on client matters, including Revenue compliance interventions.
- Preparation of ad-hoc tax planning reports for our clients across all relevant tax heads.
- Facilitating the registration of new clients for Income Tax, Corporation Tax, VAT, and PAYE.
- Identifying cross selling opportunities within our compliance portfolio and referring same to the wider firm.
Relevant Experience / Technical Skills :
- CTA Qualified Tax Professional.
- At least 3 years relevant experience across corporation tax, personal tax and other tax heads working in tax in a practice environment.
- Be able to independently manage a portfolio of clients towards achieving deadlines.
- Strong academic background with solid technical knowledge of Irish corporate tax legislation
- Demonstrated proficiency in presentation, client communication, and interpersonal
- Proficient IT skills, encompassing Excel, Word, Outlook, ROS, and Teams/Zoom.
