We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Assistant Manager, Tax. Reporting to the Tax Director, this full-time and permanent position is based in Dublin, Ireland and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our Tax Department and it’s growth.
Purpose of Role
Integral member in the tax department assisting with the management of the compliance service offerings in VISTRA’s corporate department.
Scope
The role will include delivering Irish tax returns to our wide breadth of clients across several industries as well as assisting in tax advisory solutions on an ad hoc basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare income tax and corporate tax returns. Working with the Tax Manager to deliver completed tax returns and computations for final review.
- Attending client meetings, liaising with client base, drafting tax memos for senior team leaders.
- Managing tax registrations for new and existing businesses.
- Assist with research in tax technical presentations. Work on the annual Department of Finance “Finance Bill” summary for internal and legal.
- Attending CPD courses and training in tax
Attributes/Technical Skills
- Essential: Accounting background. Worked in a professional service/accountancy practice Excellent written and oral English. Ability to work to deadlines.
- Desirable: Commercial acumen, accountancy qualification, corporate tax exposure
Relevant Experience
- Essential: Working in an accountancy practice. Qualified/Soon to be qualified Accountant/Tax professional. Corporate or Income Tax compliance experience.
- Desirable: General Tax head experience, working in a team
Education and Professional Qualification
- Essential: Leaving a Certificate with Business subjects, Primary Degree or relevant Business qualification.
- Desirable: Qualified or Part qualified accountant or tax specialist.
