We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Assistant Manager, Financial Accounting & Tax, Fund Clients. Reporting to the Manager, Financial Accounting & Tax Services, Funds, this full-time and permanent position is based in Hong Kong, allowing you to make a significant impact to our growth.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for full sets of accounts and bookkeeping for clients including but not limited to review of accounting entries, journals, financial statements and bank reconciliation.
  • Responsible for treasury & payment administration from review of payment instruction, Fund Movement Statement to dispatching payment instruction.
  • Provide monthly payroll service to clients such as review of monthly payroll calculation, tax returns, MPF contribution and payment arrangement.
  • Assist the team to achieve the business goal and financial objectives of the department.
  • Review working papers prepared by subordinates (offshore accounting teams) and support manager in clients’ service delivery.
  • Being the coach in providing support to subordinates and monitor their performance.
  • Setup of accounting system and workflow for new clients
  • Prepare various reports to fulfil clients’ business objective.
  • Liaise with clients on accounting issues.
  • Liaise directly with auditors to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Liaise directly with external parties, such as bankers, Inland Revenue Department for client matters.
  • Satisfy any other specific requirements of clients.
  • Perform other ad hoc projects as assigned by immediate supervisors / seniors.

 

Key requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/Finance or relevant disciplines
  • Registered Student or Member of HKICPA or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in audit and/or accounting
  • Hands-on experience in handling a full set of accounts with strong grounding in accounting principles.
  • Well-versed in Hong Kong Financial Reporting Standards and local GAAP
  • Experience in managing service delivery and working with offshore accounting teams are preferred.
  • Relevant experience with professional firm is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Relevant experience in preparing FRR return for SFC licensed corporation is preferred.
  • Relevant experience in preparing SPV accounting and corporate accounting for corporations under fund structure is preferred.
  • Proficient in MS office, accounting software
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin
  • Good command of Putonghua
