Our opportunity for you

We have an exciting opportunity as a Senior Financial Services Accountant Private Equity for our international client portfolio. You will support one of the largest and still growing investment firms, active in renewable energy investments. This is a chance to grow together with them and Vistra.

 

Scope

You will report into the Manager Accounting Services Private Equity and coach your Junior & Medior Financial Services Accountants in their roles as a true sparring partner for the client.

 

Together with the Business Development team, our Relationship Managers form Vistra’s commercial frontline and function as a linking pin between the client and our service delivery teams to provide end-to-end solutions to international clients.

 

In your day to day activities you will work with experienced Financial Services Accountants, along with dedicated Relationship Managers and Legal colleagues. You will work together with the internal stakeholders to ensure high client satisfaction, solve complex questions and provide a full range of corporate services for your client entities.

 

Key responsibilities

You are responsible for delivery of Accounting, Tax and Audit support services for your client portfolio. Amongst others, you will:

  • Prepare Financial Statements;
  • Prepare bookkeeping (accruals, interest calculations, sales entries, capital contributions, intangibles, according to Dutch GAAP but also IFRS principles);
  • Review and/or prepare the (dividend) distributions and capital contribution requests;
  • Review (and preparation) of Client specific monthly/quarterly reporting;
  • Review and coordinate the CIT & VAT returns;
  • Prepare the audit file and provide the assistance with statutory audits;
  • Perform quarterly transaction monitoring and creating transaction profiles;
  • Prepare CFI reports for Dutch Central Bank
  • Maintaining contact with shareholders, clients, banks, accountants and other external and relevant parties;
  • Ensure delivery of other services as required together with the other teams (e.g. Bank Account openings, Tax registrations etc.);
  • Work in partnership with Global Service Center [GSC] colleagues to ensure end to end delivery for the client and support and coach them as needed;
  • Coach junior and medior Financial Services Accountant.

 

Attributes & Skills

  • Expert level of Dutch GAAP, knowledge of IFRS is an advantage;
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills;
  • You are pro-active, team player, focused on quality, persuasive, able to set priorities, work with deadlines and flexible;
  • You have a hands-on mentality and are someone that can easily oversee the bigger picture.

 

Relevant experience

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience (preferably in Corporate Services, an audit firm or other financial institution);
  • Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in managing an international client portfolio;

 

Education/Professional Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance (e.g.. Accounting, Business Economics, Business Administration).
