We have an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Team Lead to manage the assigned client portfolio and perform coordination tasks for the team’s operational topics.

 

Reporting to the Manager Accounting and Tax compliance they will work closely with the Company’s wider accounting team to contribute to business growth.

 

This role can be remote from anywhere in Spain or you can chose to work in a hybrid fashion from our Barcelona or Madrid offices.


Key responsibilities:

 

Client Management

  • Managing autonomously his/her client’s assigned portfolio as usual
  • Attends client meetings
  • First point of escalation in the AccounTeam coordination

 

Team coordination

  • Sets priorities in the team and coordinates the execution (e.g. Annual Account process)
  • Participate in the analysis of the team’s capacity and provide information to the manager in order to manage adjustments in the team’s client portfolio, and back up configuration.
  • Collaborates in the analysis and implementation of tools and products
  • Plays an active part in the management of internal improvement projects
  • Analyzes processes to drive efficiencies and best practices
  • Supports Manager in HR coordination topics, such as team leaves and back-up configuration
  • Internal audit process: monitors the accomplishment of internal processes
  • Solves issues and attends any accounting team’s technical queries
  • Supports new hires onboarding
  • Mentors and trains new hires in accounting department
  • Responsible for the implementation of new clients, collaborating with global implementation teams and global account managers.
  • Prepare topics for the department meetings

Relevant Experience:

 

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a senior payroll consultant or in a similar position. 

 

Education and Professional Qualifications:

 

  • University education in ADE/ Economics or similar; candidates with training in CFGS in Administration and Finance will also be accepted. Suggestion: Degree in Administration and Finance/Degree in Law/Economics.
  • High level of English.
  • Proficiency of Spanish Language.
  • Good knowledge of accounting management software. Knowledge of A3 software would be an asset.
