Accounting & Tax Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Accounting & Tax Manager. Reporting to the Managing Director this full-time and permanent position is based in Romania and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our Accounting & Tax and its’ growth.

Key responsibilities:

As a manager you will be responsible for

• coordinate the Accounting & Tax department and will ensure that the deadlines for client reporting are met.

• design and implement processes to ensure accuracy of the information provided to clients

• manage the relationships with the clients and will ensure that all contractual obligations are fulfilled timely and accurately.

• prepare and implement working procedures to ensure that deadlines are met and reports provided are accurate.

• negotiate client contracts and will provide reports for client invoicing.

• will suggest ways of increasing department efficiency.

• responsible for meeting the revenue and profitability targets for department under supervision by identifying additional opportunities with existing clients and doing cross-sell and upsell

• ensure that the team under coordination will prepare client manuals, as per the internal policies.

• complete any other activities requested by the Director to meet the Company strategy.

Other:

• The manager will be up-to-date with the legal changes that impact the activity of the team under supervision, follow the internal rules and procedures and work closely with the other departments to ensure good service levels for the clients.

Key requirements:

• University degree in Accounting/Finance, (ACCA-qualified or part qualified would be a distinct advantage)

• Strong local Accounting & Tax regulations knowledge

• 8-10 years of experience with a professional services firm (Commercial experience would be an advantage)

• Good communication and negotaitions skills 

• Proactive with a client service orientated attitude

• Proficient in English

• Being the member of CECCAR would be a distinct advantage
